Rough morning guys. Broke up with my girl. She started to slash her wrists and threaten me with a pair of scissors.

Women, huh? Didn't lay a hand on her, talked her down, just bounced to my friend's spot.

Throw me those and1s/support lol. **** hell. I need a drink and its 11am lol.

Congrats man! I was blessed with my son last July. There is nothing better. The Celtics' family continues to grow.

Wow I've never seen this thread before. I guess it's good that I waited.

I'm 27, started watching the Celtics on a real level around 97/98. I still remember I think grabbing NBA Live 97' at that point for my PS1 with Antoine Walker on it thinking... this is the only time there will every be a Celtic on the cover. I still love Walker for the passion he brought to a rebuilding franchise. I'd still follow him into battle (but perhaps not with expenses). I also remember in 2002 when we won in the East Semis at Det Walker screaming "See you back in BOS!". I remember thinking at that time "wow are we really this good?". Then the travesty of that team with Rodney Rogers leaving for nothing in free agency after paying that price to pick him up. Sigh. The good old times. Finding this board was the greatest thing that could happen to my fanhood. I remember having to read the Boston Globe as my only source of Celtic news and not having any serious Cetlic fans as friends. So happy to be here. Even if I did get banned from the General Board for getting 3 warnings each 2 years apart, each for reminding people Kobe is a bad human being.

I moved to Oakland California about a year and a half ago and since then it's been difficult to follow games that start at 4:00pm while holding down a job. But I STRONGLY suggest, if you guys can do it financially it's worth being an East Coast fan in the West Coast. Games end around 7:30, Same for Monday Night Football which I think ends around 8:30 (whenever it typically starts in Boston) and it's amazing to be able to do something after the game or not be sleep deprived the next day.

Transitioned from Finance/Accounting in Boston to building websites in San Francisco thanks to a fortunate situation in life where I had no girlriend/job/and my family was moving to South Carolina, but I did have the help of my older brother who helped me both learn programming and be able to crash on his couch in Oakland for a few months until I could get my feet under me. Weather's great out here, people not so much, safety not so great in Oakland or in the tourist areas of San Fran. But where the locals live in San Fran it's pretty good. And a side effect of never having bad weather, every week there is ALWAYS something going on that you can goto. As long as you just checkout meetup.com and Yelp events. You'll be able to find something. Highly recommend you guys coming out here if you can.

Good on you, dude. I have spent the last 13 years living in CA for the most part, and I no longer have any idea why anyone would live in Boston during the winter for any extended period. These poor bastards are under 6 feet of snow right now, and they can't even ski in it.

I can't even.

Worked as part of a work crew to recover the felt on a pool table today. It was kinda fun.

Whatever happened to that thread you used to update? I enjoy that sort of stuff. If you've got the time, consider bumping it. I'm sure others liked it as well.

IIRC, someone around here wasn't happy about that thread and let it be known. Out of sheer politeness, and in order to not annoy this one person, Pogue decided to stop posting. A true gentleman -- a classy reaction much like Beck's after Kanye West's Grammys comments.

If you'd notice, I said "if you've got the time." Clearly I'm understanding if he is busy and can't do it. How unnecessarily crabby of you.

Lol. Fair enough. I guess my internet communication skills have gotten rusty. I think I fit in best as a lurker - the team needs me there.

I am the dork in the Celtics hat.

The new felt plays fast as ****.

Here is the first game on the "new" pool table.

The follow-up shot

And for those interested ...
Spoiler:
I traded my property for another parcel and $1500 (which was needed when I had car and cash flow issues and was forced into getting a truck.) I took a job as a miner for a bit and am now the unskilled laborer for a stonemason (e.g. "Helper".) We have an understanding that I am just helping out until I feel comfortable enough to build my own chimney. I have identified and locally found the following for my chimney and outdoor bread/pizza oven: black sand (really subdues the color in the mortar mix), petrified wood, sandstone, igneous rock and smooth river stones. I live for spending time with friends, catching a game when I have the chance and enjoying Mother Nature (and her finer "qualities".) I also started keeping a journal on a regular basis. To be honest, I am unsure if there is any positive benefit from it other than it just feels good to write.

My buddies and I have have arranged for the cleaning/retrofitting of the baseball/softball fields south of here. We have held a skills clinic there, as well. In the spring, we hope to put a shade structure up over the school's outdoor basketball court (they don't have a gym.) We will also be offering a free basketball clinic to the local kids once we have moved to that stage of the plan.

Things are still full steam ahead as far as the 26.2 mi ruckmarch I am setting up for the 4th of July. Every penny raised from the fundraiser will be going directly back to the community in the hopes of providing as much positive impact as possible. I have successfully networked with former professors, river and wildlife guides, park rangers, artisans, musicians and geeks like myself to provide free classes for the community. The space available is controlled by the Chamber of Commerce and is only $50 per day. The plan is to start off with a day a month and then adjust shot fire, as needed.

I have been here for a year and thirteen days now. I have gone from 223 lbs of a cake-eating mess to 170 lbs of cake-eating healthiness.

I think everyone should be involved in the discussion. Discussion and debate are great learning tools that can be applied across any platform. Participating will help to sharpen the mind and make it aware to fallacies, cracks in logic and downright hoodwinks.

Please, be as active as possible.

Moving to London next month. So if any of you folks happen to reside there and catch the occasional C's game, let me know and I'll buy the first round.

I wholeheartedly agree. I haven't been as active in the past few years and it's totally dismantled my ability to spell. But I still lurk when I can in here.

I miss my prime in college. Holy **** was I all over every thread on this board, the general board, and the OT board.

I also could write and spell much better back in the day. Oh well, every since I graduated from college and got a job in accounting, I've had to lower my intelligence to adjust to the lack of mental demands the corporate world demands of it's employees.
