1) The power forward position no longer exists in the NBA. anyone who's still saying "power" forward is living in the past. This isn't the Mchale, Barkley, Karl Malone era.
It's not power forward anymore. It's STRETCH 4 now.
2) Hauser can absolutely play STRETCH 4. He's 6'8" with a 6'9" wingspan which is average size for a STRETCH 4 and oh by the way, last season in college he had a 13.1% rebounding rate which is above average for a STRETCH 4.
3) For a STRETCH 4, you need to be able to score inside too, right? Not just outside. Well, look at this video at the 3:05 mark:
Hauser is on a 2-way contract now.
I think this year 2021-2022 is a learning year, develop him and get him adjusted to the NBA game. But by 2022-2023 he could be a really solid STRETCH 4 dude off the bench, knocking down shots.
