back to Nathan Knight, I hope he emerges as the greatest Knight in NBA history. Who would he have to surpass? Going quickly from memory:
Negele, Brevin, Travis
what other Knights have played in the NBA, and who is the current GOATKnight? (I've got Brevin)

Brandon comes to mind

I don't count it but even if we did, Brevin still wins that comp easily

he was a pretty hyped prospect at Kentucky and in his first year or two in the league, right? Then -- among probably other things:

Basketball reference tells me the greatest Knight is Billy Knight who was a 3 time all-star in the ABA and once scored 52 points in the NBA. Averaged 28 and 10 for the 75-76 ABA Pacers. Of course anyone in my home state would say it's Bobby Knight and ignore the NBA requirement (although he played 2 games for the Knicks)

Between "modern" players it's probably between Brandon and Brevin. I'd give the nod to Brevin as he was a starter for more of his career and as I remember from my early fantasy basketball days a guy who was amongst the league leaders in assists a couple of seasons at least. Also he was never murdered by DeAndre Jordan at the rim...

this is really one of the most fun video clips in NBA history. The play design, Deandre's head at the rim, the karate kick as he powers it through, the fact that he almost but didn't land on and kill Brandon Knight, the kids celebrating in the stands and Blake on the bench -- the call is great "THE LOB ... THE JAM!" and Deandre's face afterwards ... fittingly, this is the pinnacle of "Lob City" but it was **** FUN while it lasted.

the video in case you weren't alive then:)

Opening night and road game nerves? Clunky offense. D is alright. We’re contesting everything. Easy on the turnovers.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Watching Maine play this last weekend, Knight did not look good. They said he was nursing an injury so I didn't make too much of it, but he looked far far behind Davison, Queta and Walsh in terms of being a real prospect.

And he's way older than all of them..he's 26. If you're not an NBA player by age 26, it's probably not gonna happen.

2-way slots are for young guys with upside who need development - not 26 year olds..

He was my favorite Celtic ever, ahead of Bird and KG. Hope he lands elsewhere soon.

Sounds like he wanted to be released going by that half quote which hey, whatever. Probably going to Europe for more money.

Best of luck for the rest of his career and hopefully he can fin a new team quickly. He was always an odd choice for a two way considering his age. I wonder what the Celtics will do now that they have an open roster spot and two way slot.

I suspect that we will fill the Two-Way vacancy.

The G League Showcase is coming up next week. That'll be scouted, and maybe a standout player will be signed.
