Cleveland won't trade Garland for Jaylen straight up.

My point exactly

Yeah but Brad would trade Jaylen for KD straight up. So no, it's not your point exactly.

On the day BRK and KD say they’re running it back, this poll has sunk to the second page and is at 41%“yes” to 59% “no”.

LOL if you believe the Nets were the ones saying no.

Nets said no to the initial offer.

Celtics said no to the counter offer.

Reverse the narrative? That’s actually you. For years comedian, myself and other have said Jaylen being in trade rumors for guys like harden, Durant and kawhi wasn’t a bad thing and that it was actually a compliment to him. That he was a very good player and top 30 in the nba. You said anyone who said such things is a “hater”. Even the mere suggestion made someone a “hater”

For a year you told us “brad knows better than you” and now that brown has been actually offered in a deal(by brad btw) you say “if brad is offering Jaylen for KD perhaps you underrated him” which is the exact thing many have tried to tell YOU every time a Jaylen trade was suggested- that Jaylen does have real value and it’s a compliment to him. So it is in fact you whose trying to change the narrative and actually use the same argument we have been making for some time now.

Btw all the deals I personally have pushed seriously again are for james harden, kawhi Leonard, KD and Anthony Davis. Not one of those guys is “garbage” at all. Don’t be a hypocrite. It’s ok to have a Jaylen fetish but at least be factual here. The worst deal I ever considered was beal if and only if Jaylen had to be included and that was primarily when beal had multiple years on his deal.

I just recently said I wouldn’t trade him for Mitchell who is absolutely Better than Jaylen but not good enough to justify the package it would cost. So tbh the only “hater” here Is you and it’s towards anyone who had the “audacity” to use Jaylen to dare try and get the team to the next level.

Many here have felt this trade rumor may not have even been a real offer and that the leak was due to ulterior motives. You guys told us to “get our heads out of the sand” as if there was more to the story than there ever was. Here we are a week later and not only is there no trade but more and more reporteding that it was probably BS all along. At least admit it was always just your opinion instead of pretending you knew better than everybody else.

I said numerous times I believe the Celtics offered Jaylen. I still do. my reasoning for believing that was and is based on reporting by woj, shams, KOC, Washburn, Lowe, Murphy, windhorst etc. and I’ve said as much every time. Those are real sources who have echoed and said tthe same thing and helped me form my educated opinion. I even went on and said things are likely at a standstill Imo because the nets don’t feel they “have to” trade KD yet or that they aren’t up against a deadline. Things that have been echoed by shams and others again. So no it wasn’t “just” my opinion. It was an opinion substantiated by some the best in the business and objected to by you a guy who thinks Jaylen is as good as Paul Pierce.

Why don’t u link some of those stories of it being “bs all along”. You are reacting to bulpett’s article from heavy. Why don’t you show me the others who say it’s bs? I genuinely want to read them and you said there’s “more and more” of them so I’d like to be educated. Link them. I’d be curious to read about it. I’m sure you will.

Everything I’ve said has been based off actual reporting by all the people I’ve mentioned above - some of the best in the business. Never once did I pretend I knew better than everyone else - but I do believe woj, shams, KOC, Lowe, murphy, Washburn do. yes I think the Celtics offered Jaylen brown. Absolutely 100%.

The only people who “pretended to know more than anyone else” are the dopes who screamed something was “dead in the water” when they literally have no way of backing that up. We surely don’t know anyone like that do we?

Brad Stevens:

“Since the (Malcolm) Brogdon trade, we felt really good about our team. We felt really good about building around these guys that we’ve been building around, trying to accentuate our best players. We’re excited to move forward with our team and that’s really been our focus for a while.

"You say it’s been busy and there’s been a lot of talk but it hasn’t been from me. Hopefully, it gave everyone something to talk about. It’s been pretty quiet on our front for a while now.”

Brogdon trade: July 8.
Sham tweet: July 25.

Trade talk: Literally……already dead in the water for 17 days the day of Sham tweet.

More and more reporting? There’s been the Bulpett article, and nothing else. So you go ahead and believe that one article when Shams, Woj, Fischer, Windy, Stein, Lowe, Murphy, and Washburn have all said the Celtics offered Jaylen.

You’re the one working off opinion, at least be honest.

Even more to the point. Anyone who doesn't think Jaylen believes that he wasn't offered is fooling themselves. Jaylen ain't dumb. He knows what the deal is. Of course, he knows he was offered. If he really believed he wasn't offered, then there would be no reason for everyone to be all worried about Jaylen's mindset all the time following these rumors or talk about how "disrespected" he is. Jaylen knows he was offered just as he knows he's gonna make 250M in a couple of years. And the reason he knows both things is the SAME explanation:

The NBA is a business.

How much longer do you expect KD to play for the Nets?

1. he will be traded at the trade deadline or earlier
2. he will be traded in the 2023 offseason
3. he will be in Brooklyn for at least the next 18 months

I'm thinking 3. Their pick situation makes trading Durant tough. It doesn't matter if KD isn't happy or theyre not a title contender. Gotta keep selling tickets and at a minimum make the playoffs. KD ensures that happens.

As if KD has Michael Jordan's resume or something and even having him on the team is a lock for a title. If that was the case, he would have won in Brooklyn. Or OKC. Or...literally anywhere outside of the dynastic Warriors. And again, this is an older version of that KD.

He's 34 years old. And injury prone. And hasn't won **** outside of the dynasty he joined that would win with or without him. Acting like not wanting to trade a 25 year old all star who was the second best player on our Finals team is rejecting the opportunity for championships is ridiculous. We were JUST competing for a championship weeks ago. With a hobbled/fatigued team. With two young stars who aren't in their prime yet. Saying the decision is down to "do you want championships or not" is ridiculous and insulting.

What **** has Jaylen Brown "won"?

Nobody is suggesting keeping JB is a "lock" to win titles (like the KD camp is). Just saying, neither is KD. And KD is much older, on the downside of his career, and has dealt with serious injuries over the last handful of years.

What other team had an NBA Finals core of guys in their 20s (with your top two being 24 and 25) and went on to break it up for a 34 year old star? Serious question
