Tatum is also a much better defender (when he wants to be).

Not sure about that. If that was so, Brad wouldn't consistently put Jaylen on the opposing team's best wing. Brown is much better at fighting thru screens, and has more strength to cut off drives. Tatum is longer, and a better rebounder. Both are plus defenders but I'd put JB a bit above JT.

Well, traditional NBA strategy says you do not give the hardest assignment to your best offensive player, since you prefer he conserve energy for the other end.

Jaylen could average 24/6/3 on 49% FG and 40% 3PT this year and you’d still find a way to hate or criticize lol. What does he need to average for you to be content with him as the player?

Man is currently putting up 27/5/3 on 58% FG and 43% 3PT and after every good game you find a way to say something negative. Now that is rent free lmao.

There are some Boston fans who have been completely against Brown since he was drafted. I remember all the laughable calls to draft Dunn etc over him. I swear some of those people just refuse to give up on those stupid opinions.

Maybe Brown never becomes an absolute superstar but honestly he does everything you could possibly want out of a player. He is an incredibly hard worker, he has improved every year and he is clearly a very good basketball player. He’s also switched on off the court.

There is zero to dislike about him in my opinion.

Last night I was thinking that Jaylen was having his first bad shooting night when they flashed his stats: 7-13, 20pts. Truthfully, he was shooting 20% below his season average of 70+% from midrange.

Jaylen Brown is extremely difficult to put a ceiling on, he just gets better every year. If what he's shown this year is real i think he can clearly be top 10-20 guy sooner rather than later. But what if he's like Jimmy Butler or Kawhi Leonard who seemingly just add something small but significant to their game every year into their late twenties? He clearly has the work ethic.

Consider this jump in playmaking came with increased Usage and better shotmaking around him. He really didn't have an offseason. He was supposed to go work out with Tracy McGrady this offseason to refine his jumper. That didn't happen and yet his jumper still looks better but as he matures, as his comfort level in the offense increases he will become even more efficient. The counting stats are going to come down a bit from where they are now when Kemba comes back. That's just the reality of his Usage coming back down a bit. Same for Tatum but when guys like Semi and Pritchard and Teague are hitting their shots it gives Jaylen tons of options.
