Amari's a heady player, so it's not surprising to me if he's still processing as he moves up to higher levels of play.
Did he ever look like a big hustle guy in college? I never watched, so I don't know. If he's looking calm in the Duncan/JT mode but still killing it, great. But, if he's low motor, bad. If he's temporarily low motor til it all clicks, I can be patient-ish.

Yes. I recall mentioning him being everywhere. To me it looked like he was a step ahead of people. Not in quickness, but that he knew what to do before they did. He was always moving with purpose. Very active. He would set himself up to help even when actions didn’t involve him. He seemed like he knew when and where to be, doing something that would pay off seconds later.
Now that people have mentioned it, maybe it is a processing issue. I hope it is, because that means once it clicks, he’s going to be really good. He is already better than a lot of guys in the G. Processing would explain being right there, with plenty of opportunity, but not do something when he isn’t lacking athleticism.
It sounds like I’m saying he’s been terrible, when I’m simply saying he could be much better. He’s RIGHT THERE, just gotta do it!! Many people mention being shocked by the speed early on, Shulga recently said he was and that he still adjusting.
Come on game, slow down for my all-time binky of binkies!!!
