Not adrenaline, just the fact that the catcher spot is the biggest hole we have in our lineup right now, and Kendall calls a great game.

This will be great for our pitching staff down the stretch, and I'm confident his bat will continue to come to life. .300 over his past 25 games, .286 in interleague play.

The NL will do him good, we'll replenish our farm system.

I completely agree with you 2poor that even if this minorLpitcher eventually succeeds(even like DTrain has) we won't hear the end of it.

...and thats what I won't be able to take. Unless we win a ring of course.

I would've rather gone after Saltalamacchia (probably spelt horrribly wrong). Sure, it would've cost us better prospects, but I want a long-term solution. I'm not terribly excited about Kendall, a short-term fix who will only be slightly above average if we're lucky.

Thanks Jbizz, but I'm a little worried about this 1.46 era with 170+so in 149 innings.

I know its minor ball but hey its the Cubs.

We drafted something like 5 or 6 catchers this year (including #43), and we still have Soto who was doing well in the minors. This is the kind of move that you make to win now, and until further notice, I think its a great move. The platoon of catchers we were relying on was not working, and more than anything, having Kendall's veteran presence behind the plate will do wonders for our pitchers.

The definition of MOTIVATION:

Going to a perennial division champ with a great pitching staff and a bangin' offense.

They did just say Marshall (for Kendall) on Baseball Tonight.

FWIW, I'd rather they take Marshall than Blevins. :P

Seriously... how can there be confusion about this? Contact the teams and have them confirm the players involved.
