Re: Post-Draft Playoffs Survey
No post season. I'm hoping to not rush into spending cap space this year and instead taking on some bad contracts for draft capital for one more year.

Re: Post-Draft Playoffs Survey
The pistons started historically bad last year. That coincided with Cade really struggling early on. His slow start was justified, considering he missed preseason and the first 4 games, and then had the pressure of being the no1 pick.
If cade plays the SAME as he did post All-star break, he will be an All-Star this season. He doesn't even need to improve to be on that level—he's already there.
That automatically makes everyone else better, including Ivey. All Ivey needs to do, is shoot the open 3, or attack the close-outs and he can get 15ppg.
Killian is also going to surprise a lot of people. He's going to be great in the 6th man role.
42-45 wins is my prediction.
Our no1 goal should be to become a team that a superstar sees himself joining. That means winning, building a really fun and positive culture.

Re: Post-Draft Playoffs Survey
I voted playin because why not be optimistic after the draft we just had? No postseason is the logical choice haha.
Plenty of reasons to be optimistic though. The second half of last season looked much better with the young guys finding their roles a bit and we’ve just added a bunch of talent with Ivey and duren. We’ve got the money to add even more talent in free agency. Lots of potential

I'm holding that level of optimism for after free agency.
I don't think the *current* roster makes the play-in. I also don't think the current roster is what we're bringing into the season.

100% agree. We shouldn't just expect external improvements via draft and free agency. This team is going to need improvements from all areas to be contenders some day. I think Killian has the most potential for improvement from last season to this season, mostly because he starts at such a low bar lol

Team is getting younger a key position for both offense and defense. Even with last years core improving it should lead to the same or marginal improvement in wins vs losses. But structurally it’s likely to be a huge step forward. I think it’s just going to require more patience.

Re: Post-Draft Playoffs Survey
This group is still extremely young and we just traded away our best veteran presence.
I’m hoping our kids show enough this year that we aren’t bottom 5 again, but I think missing the playoffs is still likely.
It’s hard to say for sure without knowing how free agency goes, but this is still where I land.

Re: Post-Draft Playoffs Survey
Yeah, playoffs are unlikely. I really love Ivey and Duren but they're probably not gonna be league-average starters from Day 1. Combine that with the fact that we don't have a guaranteed guy at PF either (I like Livers for that spot but not something you can count on).
To make the playoffs, we probably need moderate internal improvement from all the young guys on the roster and then Ivey and Duren need to be positive players overall on the season.
