And one year later will kindly request a trade to another team.

Yes, it's a business and everyone thinks about money. Some, however, are on the very extreme end of obsession. I would never want Bradley Beal on my team, he just doesn't care about basketball in comparison to money as much as 99% of the NBA.

These FOs are so bad - Beal needed to be traded way before $50 million a year was even considered.
There are guys you could bring in like Gary Harris that give you most of what Beal gives, for basically nothing compared to $50 million.
Seriously, what is going on with this? Who are they even fighting with? Who even has max cap space to offer Beal other than Detroit? Just say - sorry bro, you opted out. 4 years - 100 million sounds right.

$50M a year for Beal.
No one has money to offer him - WAS bidding against itself about 20 million more a year than he deserves. Open mark, UFA, no one is giving him even $40 million a year.
What's Beal make open market? Who even has the cap space and bids? I would be pissed if DET offered $35 million a year for 5 years. He's washed up and in year 4 and 5, he will likely be awful.
FOs make the NBA terrible.
So sorry WAS fans.

The Twitter guy strikes again.
I think it's safe to say Beal plays this out for a first year then if they can't compete he starts to get grumpy and eventually traded 2-3rd year into the contract. The usual modern day NBA superstar.
Also we already had a thread about this but gotta get those and 1s I guess.
There's no need to be insulting and make the trade hostile. -b

You think they would have realized with Wall previous contract that maybe giving every possible cent to a player who isn’t a MVP level player isn’t a good idea.

It won’t take that long.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Wizards should've traded him 2 seasons ago. He was never that guy, never will be that guy and this supermax just anchors the franchise. I can't even see the Wiz being a homecourt team any time soon.

Superstar is funny. How many teams are going to want a $50 million SG that isn't a great 3 point shooter or defender? Desperate franchises will offer poo poo platters for him in 2 years.JN61 wrote:The Twitter guy strikes again.

Re: Bradley Beal is expected to re-sign with Wizards
Not too suprising. Thee's not many teams that have enough salary cap room to get Beal anyway, tho he could've just wanted a 1-2 year deal if that was the only reason, instead of a 5 year deal. It appears he cares about having a huge paycheck than he does about winning. I don't see the Wizards contending anytime soon.

One would think that Wizards would have learnt from their mistake of giving supermax to Wall..

That extension is a crucial step towards Beal inevitably requesting a trade while also being paid, so do your thing Bradley.

That said he can be a championship 2nd option. Depends who the #1 is. Middleton was a championship 2nd option and they're on a similar level offensively.
But 2nd option is different then 2nd best player on a title team. He's WAY to bad of a defender for that

Prime klay is a hall of fame player. Beal is a quarter step behind.

Klay is nothing special. A 3rd fiddle on a championship team. Beal could have did Klay’s role and more on those stacked Warriors teams
