Come on doesnt want to be here because he doesn't smile? Seems like you did not do you research on Paolo. That is who he is, very shy on the down low. Doesn't seem comfortable in interviews and all the attention, straight to business type of personality, no handshakes before or after interviews, that sort of stuff but he is so young, he should get better in that department. And btw I wanted no part of Paolo as he reminds me of certain types of #1 options put up great stats but can't lead their teams to being competitive. But come on, let's not start making things up and remember he is young and can/WILL prove us wrong.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying he doesn’t want to be here. But I will admit that so far his attitude is a bit disappointing to me. That could also just be my problem though.

For a shy guy that doesn’t like the attention/spotlights, he had a lot of bling on his purple suit. Also the gum chewing during the first press conference… Yeah I understand you’re 19 and the whole basketball is watching you but come on..

That being said, I’m very excited for the prospect and what PB can bring to our team. As long as he wears purple… ehm blue, he will have my support!

remember, 19. at 19, i couldnt imagine just sitting in front of all those people i normally watch on TV, let alone being in front of the camera and how many people world wide were watching. especially after not knowing you were going #1 until just before the pick was made.

My parents would’ve smacked me if I presented myself this way in a professional environment. I guess it’s just a different era. I’m also annoyed by the nba all star game and the way all these (basketball) stars present themselves.

I noticed the chewing gum thing too.
I wondered if he always had it in his mouth but forgot it was there and suddenly re-discovered it halfway into the conference or if he somehow ninja'd it into his mouth or if he'd been chewing the whole time and I just didn't notice.

I'm 54, with kids older than PB, maybe I've just been softened up by raising 3...I'm more likely to choose my battles perhaps. All good. I'm big on manners too- I respect your take.
