A healthy and game changing Issac- who goes to the bench?

Say JI comes back and turns his career around, becomes a force and we all scratch our head like wtf just happened…. who gets sent to the bench? Can’t bench Wendell. Can’t bench Franz. You won’t bench Paolo.

What do you do?

That's actually a very nice problem to have. A healthy pre injury Isaac is way better than the wcj we have today. Thus I will let him start the C position.

It's probably a situation where you bring either JI or Franz off the bench. I doubt you'd start the 3 of them together even if you "close" with the 3 of them more times than not.

We won't have to worry about that for a while. JI will come off the bench to start the year and time usually sorts these things out after that.

If Isaac was 100% healthy and able to play at his highest possible levels, Carter would go to the bench and they'd play a small starting lineup with Isaac or Banchero playing "center".

I don't know. I just want to see a lineup where Isaac, Wagner, Banchero, and Carter share the floor at some point.

Isaac isn't going to play starter minutes this year.

Well... small is... you still have a 6-10 240 SF and two 6'11ish PF/C WITH 240-250lbs weight... really cant call that small.

Orlando would bench Banchero 1000x before F-Wagner is benched.

But for me this thread defines the single issue Mosley needs to organize with WeHamm. Something has got to give here: Long-term Orlando cannot bench a healthy Banchero and cannot bench a healthy Isaac; so what then???.

Neither will be benched. Banchero will probably average around 28 mpg and Isaac 15-20 mpg. The most important thing is for Isaac to get through a season healthy. If he's putting up great stats his value will shoot through the roof.

If Isaac is balling out and really healthy towards the end of the year I'm sure they could find extra minutes for him.

That is a very BIG IF. However, to play that game, that is a very delightable situAtion to be in. An all-world defensive gem in the 6'11 JI is back? Then i bench WCJ.

It doesn't matter who starts anyway, it matters who's playing at the end of a close game. That's when the coach decides which players are going to help him win that game.

Isaac is coming off the bench to begin preseason. We’ll see from there. If he’s that healthy and that good. I wouldn’t mind seeing Wendell-Isaac-Paolo-Franz-Fultz as the 5.

But if JI is playing that well, don’t put it past WeltHamm to trade him.

I am amazed at the disrespect for WCJ!

HE was the best starter we had last year, not most potential.

He lead the team in
PER, (41st in the league)
FG% (18th in the league)
REB (12th in the league).

Some teams have good players that don't start...those are called "good" teams.

even at 100% Isaac will still be in restricted minutes,no more than 20-22 a game.

that said,he could subs easily both PF and C position.

Anyway would be really really last issue we have,an even not full recovered Isaac, just a plus

Yes, BUT we are playing this game wherein JI is baxk to his old all-world self. That version of JI is better than WCJ in our team.

Isaac will probably be a situational guy coming in for either Franz or Paolo off the bench. Maybe he gets spot minutes for WCJ in some instances.

I don’t think switching him out for Paolo or Franz is an upgrade.

WCj goes to the bench in this scenario.
