Probably nothing.

But the rumor mill will be churning 2 years from now when Jaylen becomes an UFA.

I mean he liked a post? And an aggregator picked it up and now you've re-aggregated it?

Not sure this really needed a thread? :D

Also, Jaylen Brown had the worst experience on Delta. He probably missed the switch.

I truly wonder how the baggy shorts era players from 02-07 would deal with these fans on twitter, and flagrant stuff these guys are saying/doing at the arenas.

i feel like shaq would be responding to ppl like kd is, and like stephen jackson would be paying someone to trace your ip adress when someone @s him the wrong way.

Did it need a tweet? Bleacher report was quick to tweet it. So blame them. Not me

I feel like pro athletes would be a lot better off if they didn’t constantly search their own name on Twitter to see what’s being said about them. They all do it.

It’s not Celtics fans. It’s a loud, fringe minority. A vocal mob on Twitter. They don’t represent the vast majority of sensible fans in Celtic Nation who adore Jaylen Brown. This is the challenge with social media. It never has represented reality, and it never will.

The 95% of sensible, knowledgeable fans are not going to take the time from their working days to sign a petition to let him know that he’s untouchable. That he’s their favorite. He’s part of our family. But the people who know this, really know. If you could survey or poll Celtics back, you would really understand The depth of adoration and commitment to JB.

JB is the real captain of the team.

Even KG pointed on how much he loved Boston Celtics fans.
And how he didn’t realize just how deeply they love him

Yeah I think he wasn't pleased by seeing fans say they'd trade him for Durant.

NBA players are always going to feel disrespected by their franchise due to trade hypotheticals.

Hell Durant is rumored to feel like the Nets franchise hasn't done enough for him when they did everything they possibly could including trading for a former team mate and former MVP.

The players are never going to be happy.

Well no. Bleacher Report didn't start a thread here. You did. :D I understand their business model and don't follow them because I think aggregation sucks for a variety of reasons.

I would just think you would want some standard for a thread. You don't generate ad revenue(unless RealGM kicks you back something in which case, please let me know because I can post a bunch of topics  )

That's all. Just imo. Clearly you thought this was a Big Deal and needed to be shared.

How many fans actually said that though? There are millions of Celtics fans across the world and a tiny handful of them want to trade Jaylen?

It's like others have said. If you want to find someone voicing a certain opinion on social media - no matter what that opinion is - you can find it. That doesn't mean it represents the sentiment of most Celtics fans.

Because he's not.

Tatum:
2x All NBA (1st team this year)
6th in MVP voting this year
3x All Star
ECF MVP

Brown:
1x All Star

Even with Tatum having a really bad Finals. He still ended up being the leading scorer and assist guy for the Celtics in the playoffs (56 TS% for Tatum vs 58% for Brown).

I feel like these younger generations who grew up with social media take it so personally because they feel like the whole world is on there taking bad about them.

Im 42 I didn’t grow up with it so I know most of it isn’t real. Not only is it just a small percentage of people on it but most negative comments are trolls just trying to get a rise out of people.

Also NBA players are the most coddled. They’ve had their butt kissed and told how great they are since a young age so they don’t deal well with anyone ever questioning anything they do.

Ahh Boston fans. We are tough. We are cold. We are passionate. Certain players we love and coddle (Pierce, KG, Tatum), and the rest are all just pieces to move in the chase for banner 18.

Jaylen is just one of those pieces.
