I think Heat's interest is being downplayed publicly partly for this reason. You sure as **** know that Brooklyn doesn't want Westbrook. Lowry is the only other guy that lines up contract wise with Kyrie among the potential teams Kyrie wants to go to.

Kyle and Herro are a fantastic haul for them but rest assured Lakers are working on finding a third team to reroute Westbook and get the Nets players they want. Lots of teams on the market right now looking for expirings to shed salary. Hornets with Hayward being one of them.

The Lakers don't have the picks to find a team to take Westbrook and give Brooklyn assets. They only have their 2027 and 2029 pick to trade. Lakers also have the luxury tax issues. I would put good money on Kyrie NOT opting out and taking the tax payers mid level. Kyrie is crazy but I don't think he's that crazy lol.

-The players camp has requested firm update by tuesday afternoon to finalize decision on how to move forward. 9:15am
-oh FYI, also philly is looking now at getting in on the action as a firm 3rd team but we are tinkering with the players, they are asking for too much. 9:20am
-the players camp is looking to start leaking info coming in later tonight trying to force the issue, they are deadset on Miami, with one more team as a backup. 9:20am

If im wrong, im wrong, but this doesnt sound like any of the player names we’ve heard floating around (particularly the “forcing the issue” part)..certainly not Kyrie. That sounds like a player with years left on their deal.

For what you're talking about, Kyrie he'd would opt in and whoever he's going to would have an agreement to an extension that he'd sign once traded.

I think Patty ends up with Kyrie to the Lakers. That’s how you get him to opt in to his player option. THT finds his way to the Hornets with Westbrook with the Lakers First rounder or two.

I can envision that 3rd team could be the Hornets. They are about to max Lamelo soon, so they need major salary relief.

I don't want Herro in Miami but he Miami's best asset in a trade so if they can get Kyrie or whatever star without him, they'd still have their best asset to move before next offseason.

Still hate the idea of adding a scorer who is going to get picked on in the playoffs.

Hornets just want Westbrook to play out his expiring. He’ll replace Rozier and run as the off guard with Lamelo. Hayward and Rozier is a competent haul for the Nets. Simmons can play PG with Rozier in his primary combo role. Hayward and Durant on the wings.

KD in Miami is an absolute issue for the rest of the league. He’s legitimately Spo’s wet dream of an offensive weapon. Imagine the gravity he would carry in our dribble hand off action. My lord

Is a lethal 5 that would give teams crazy issues trying to defend both Butler and KD from the wings with Bam screening, and having two knockdown floor spacers to compliment them. In my opinion offensively that’s a more potent group than anything we saw in the big 3 era. You would have to switch everything against that group, and KD is the type of player who you really can’t just switch guys onto, too much length and shooting ability. KD has always played his best ball with the absence of ball dominant scorers, he needs complimentary pieces and Miami gives him everything he needs to be at an MVP level and win a title.

I’ve always wanted to see what Spo’s offense would look like with KD I think it’s a fantastic fit
