Easily Rockets right now (for me) because you can count on two of their 3 right now (Green and Sengun). We'll find out by late next season/early the season after what the right answer was. If we're just looking at the groups of 3 right now, I would have us second to last and Thunder last but the truth is that OKC has a young all-star too. Too much uncertainty with the rookies to know for sure right now.

Those are some nice groups...

I think WE may have the most talented trio, but I give the nod to DET for their potential fit. Duren and Ivey are both a little more dicey bets than PB, IMO. If we find some supporting 3pt shooting from our roster, our trio might really run away with it.

I also like the Rockets fit very much, but I'm not that big a fan of Sengun. I'm not a big believer in OKC's group either but I really like Jalen Williams, who they got at #12 and was left out of your trios. I like Giddey, but I think he's overrated and I'm still dubious of Chet's body.

2021-2022 Trios:
Orlando
Houston
Detroit
OKC

Complete rosters:
OKC (SGA)
Orlando
Houston
Detroit

Personally, I’m not high on Duren and not really a fan of Cade.

On paper?

Big ball handling wing that can command the offense like Luka/LBJ
Electric Scorer that can get you buckets in a variety of ways
Rim running, shot blocking big that can also bump downlow with the best of them.

Sounds like DET... only thing is on paper those 3 looks the worst in 3pt shooting compared to the others

They have the same thread on the GB and everyone has the Magic last.

Sure, the highest ranked prospect of the crop in 2022 hasn’t played a single game. People don’t watch the Magic enough to know about Franz or know about Suggs defense looking at box scores.

Suggs having a miserable year last year ranks us pretty low.

The Thunder probably have my favorite cast of young players between SGA, Giddy, Mann, Holmgren, Williams, Dieng. I think they will be the best over time.

Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green finished their rookie seasons strong. Sengun and Smith are going to complement each other really well.

Rockets are going to be FUN to watch on offense.
So will we if our guards can start dropping shots.

So, I'll go with the Rockets pending Suggs shot improvement.

I really don't know what to think about the Thunder.
They may be incredible or they may suck badly.
We'll know more by February.

Taking Detroit pretty easily. I usually go with the team with the best player in these is and Cade was absolutely stud to finish the season last year. I think they are next up.

Rockets, and by a long way. But Orlando might be #2 on this list. It really depends on Banchero, doesn't it?

Hard to tell who is going to be better 3 years from now, but if we are speaking of evaluation at the moment, we are handicapped by Suggs underperformance.

Bit pointless... You don't compete against 3 but 29 teams and there are plenty of teams who are young and elite, like Memphis, Celtics key core is 24 & 25, Cavs have something with Allen; Garland & Mobley, Pelicans will have Zion & Ingram with solid vet rotation, whatever Dallas does, they will remain elite as long as Luka is there...

For the first time we have team composed of players i really wanted each year in draft.
Carter was my favourite prospect after Doncic and Young in 2018
Wagner was my favourite prospect last year,
Banchero was my favourite prospect this year.
I dont buy Cunningham as first option yet, i dont get his hype. He was underwhelming in college and he was underwhelming during his rookie year. I dont like Ivey, he is not great decision maker. Duren is not really switchable, and his skills are raw.
Green is a me first scorer. Very talented, but players like him win scoring titles while their teams suck. Sengun is fun, but good luck until he improves his defense. You know my opinion on Jabari. Propably a third option.
OKC biggest strength is SGA. Chet is huge unknown right now. Evan Mobley was great but Chet is thiner and slower. I like Giddey but he is not very athletic and his shot is bad. Dieng is also huge raw unknown.

There is a likely scenario Banchero is best player among all these players and Wagner second best player (at least best second option). Suggs is already elite defender and his prototype players (Holiday, Smart), played in finals two years in a row. I wouldnt change with any of these teams, and its not even close.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Honestly Like zaymon said, Paolo has the chance to be the best player out of all those players. If you value flashy play then your going to automatically say rockets or pistons. Cade and green look fun and cool when they play, But someone like franz could easily be the better player long term and was arguably better then both of them in there rookie season.

I think a lot people are really overrating hou, det, okc roster and underating orl. Mainly due to the fact that paolo wasn't a consensus #1, suggs was an underperformer and franz isnt a flashy player.

I do like hou & det(not a fan of okc core at all) but i think if paolo pans out we are right up there with those other 2 if not better long term.
