Bucks already won a chip and Middleton was injured so they are good

76ers trying to get PJ and Embiid was injured this year

Celtics was in the finals

Nets got their core back + Ben Simmons for next season

Lonzo/Caruso is coming back for the Bulls, younger players will get better

Cavs younger players will get better

Hornets younger players will get better

Hawks might get Murray and younger players will get better

Raptors Scottie will be better

Then there is us and just hope our players get better because LOL millsap and Carmelo ain’t gonna cut it and Lowry is falling off a cliff and Duncan is just not even worth mentioning

the insinuation here is that our younger players will not get better but somehow they will for everyone else in the conference. Not much has changed in the East (pre free agency), its Celtics, Bucks, Nets, us, then everybody else

Well I did say “just hope our players get better”

That is true we are in the top 4 teams still, but do we have a championship team? Probably not. Unless Bam or Herro improves their game Atleast. #GETJIMMYSOMEHELP

Teams are not interested in long term commitment to Kyrie

What excuses? Welcome to the world of off-season rumors. Would you rather just nothing be provided by anyone and only report when something actually happens or would you be smart enough to understand that most of these rumors have a low chance of happening in the first place but appreciate trying to get an inside look at what might be happening.

This is what I don't get about crapping on people that give out rumor info. The onus falls on the reader to understand that these things are super fluid and have low probability. Don't get so caught up on it otherwise it's your own fault.

“Kyrie wants out” “Kyrie wants Miami”

*10 mins later - Kyrie opts in

Complete clown show and you are on here doing their bidding smh

What if he did want Miami and Miami lowballed the Nets so much they said we'd rather you just walk? Riley gets some great trades but I wonder how many good trades he's missed because he tried to lowball too much?

Or perhaps Riley made a reasonable offer and the Nets were ready to deal until KD informed them that he would demand out if Kyrie was traded. We'll never know what actually happened

Whats crazy to me is that they honestly thought because Kyrie thinks the earth is flat, that he would take the MLE because he thinks differently than everyone else..

Butler for Donovan.

that doesnt fix our problem... we would be a one man team again lol.... i would offer Herro + Lowry + 1st Round picks + Gabe vincent.... that is quite a trade package...

Nets gave Kyrie permission to talk to teams about a contract in a sign and trade and NO ONE was interested in contract extension with Kyrie

I'm fine with Dipo leaving if he demands too big of a contract. He's still been unable to show that he can be a competent offensive basketball player since his injury, he was absolutely brutal in the playoffs after an 8 game ramp up to close the RS and he was supposedly 100% healthy

Retaining PJ would be far higher on my priority list

I guess the question would be what you would consider a fat contract for him. For reference we voluntarily gave Lowery 30 mil a year and felt Duncan is worth around 17/18 mil a year. Based on that information what do you think is a fair number for Dipo? The same with PJ, he is allegedly being offered 3/30. Thats not a horrible number.

Would love to roll the dice on Bamba and have him start out the gate with Bam at the 4. We had success with Meyers phucking Leonard and KO starting with Bam. Bamba is clearly an upgrade over those two both offensively and defensively. Preserve Tucker off bench.

I'd still be willing to trade Bam for a resilient playoff scorer. Hell if the Pelicans came at me with Brandon Ingram + Herb Jones I'd pull the trigger then go find me some dime a dozen rim running rim protector

I'd prefer a 1 year deal with Dipo because I still feel like we don't know what he actually is at this point. I'd be willing to go up to $15 if it works cap-wise. I'd easily do $30/3 for PJ

Duncan and Lowry got paid what they got paid because that's what their value was on the open market. And Lowry was injured for the PS so hard to judge him too harshly for that but he definitely lifted us during the RS when we went through that brutal injury/covid stretch. It was basically him and Herro winning games for us that we had no business winning

You know he can still be traded right.

This changes nothing, only that nobody wanted to give him an extension.

He can still be traded

So how do we get him s+t and Duncan Robinson?

Magic really need shooters and they can treat Duncan like JJ redick or something

I also really wish bam would extend his range this off-season, I know he’s got a little mid range game but it’s about time he get with the new era times and get a 3 point shot.
