WAY better defensively than last year.

The Philly picks and trade exceptions also set them up to acquire someone else.

Not to mention they have good shooters and few decent young guys to develop.

Kyrie now has reached a crossroads.

If he decides to show up and the Nets play well he can get a max contract in Brooklyn or somewhere else. If he continues his antics then he probably is done making that type of money.

Let's see how it goes. Nets can easily move off Kyrie if need be through trading his expiring contract.

If players were robots? Yeah sure, it could be a championship team.

But between KD, Kyrie, and Ben you have 0 leadership. Kyrie and Ben have huge emotional stability issues. Also all 3 are very injury prone. Plus Nash is a mediocre coach at best.

If he wants to be different, should not he opt out and sign a MLE with another team, that is different and cool!

Well lets see.

Nets had their best season of all time and looked like they could beat the Bucks until injury in 2021.

I'm willing to throw away last season as bizarre.

Both Simmons/Kyrie played the best basketball of their careers 2 years ago.

Is there any shot we still get Ayton?

What do you guys think?

Joe Harris, Philly picks?

Probably because his step mother has zero connections to secure an opt-in plus trade, like CP3 did, then again, he had a real agent.

Nobody knows what that means including Kyrie.

Also just because he gave a list of teams he was interested in doesn't mean they were interested back lol or had the right compensation Nets would agree to.

It was either Kyrie signs for $6 million or Kyrie stays in Brooklyn.

Your scenario of the Lakers trading filler + 2 FRs for Kyrie was never going to happen because the Nets never believed Kyrie would opt out.

So you think if the TMLE threat was real and BRK believed it was real that they would rather go for nothing rather than an expiring contract+2 FRPs? All because F the Lakers? loool

What I am saying is Kyrie signing for TMLE was a non-credible threat, meaning it was a threat to do something that was not in Kyrie's rational interest. Non-credible threats can't be ignore because humans are irrational but there wasn't a plausible way for Kyrie to credibly convince the Nets he was going to do so beyond opting out.

Kyrie is lucky he had the player option. If he didn't, he probably would be signing a one-year prove it deal. As I've said a few times before, I'd be shocked if any team would be willing to sign Kyrie to a multiyear deal this offseason unless it included a relatively small base with a ton of incentives around games played.

Now he can either kick ass with Brooklyn, or the Nets could trade him to a team that's willing to sign him in the hopes that he can contribute to a title and knowing that the risk is that it only has to be for one year.

Best season of all time? Have you forgotten what Kidd and Dr. J accomplished? Did you only become a fan when they moved to Brooklyn?

Kylie is a true inspiration and impeccable leader deciding to play (if he feels like it) for a mere 37 million. I applaud his courage and sacrifice.

To clarify I meant regular season record wise.

Based on winning percentage they did.
