Targeting a more consistent player on the perimeter such as Eric Gordon makes sense for the Heat. Their offense was sometimes stagnant and downright pitiful whenever Jimmy Butler wasn’t carrying it.

Gordon would provide the team with another player that can score in the halfcourt, creating offense for himself. That isn’t something in Duncan Robinson’s skill set, who still is owed more than $74 million over the next four years.

Gordon is a very good 3-point shooter, helping replace Robinson in that regard. But, he provides a lot more of an offensive punch as he can create for himself and get to the basket. 79 players attempted at least 200 shots off of drives last season and Gordon finished fourth in shooting percentage behind only Chris Paul, Karl-Anthony Towns and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

That is production that Miami is never going to get from Robinson, who offers very little outside of 3-point shooting. If the Heat wins the championship, or Gordon makes an All-Star game, his contract for the 2023-23 season becomes guaranteed. Despite some spotty injury history, he is worth the price even if he isn’t an expiring deal.

Again, free agency doesn't even begin until 6pm Wednesday. People need to be patient. You can start freaking out if you don't see any movement Wednesday/Thursday.

Who is freaking out? I'm simply saying that there doesn't appear to be any major free agents available. That i can think of, Zack Levine will be the big get? Who else is available? Brunson? Ayton?

Bam - scoring mindset
Jimmy - 3
Lowry - not being a fat ass
Dipo - confidence in his body, rust off his game
Herro - defense
The others - consistency

there is no way it’s Mitchell. of all the premier scorers on our radar that is the guy who has zero leverage, would command the most assets, would incite a bidding war and it’s Danny Ainge giving his superstar to Pat Riley. Same Ainge that wore Celtics gear to a playoff game this year even though hes the top exec of another team. hes not making Miami a bigger threat to his beloved Cs than they already are.

I passed one of my teacher tests that most people fail on the first attempt. A huge weight is off my shoulders.

I bring positive vibes. Good things will happen for us this week.

Miami is working as an over the cap team so those free agents aren't necessarily the targets that Miami was eyeing to begin with. It's going to be smaller role playing pieces that they can use the MLE on or trades basically. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Miami made a deal for someone none of even know is actually available.

I just hope that we get younger at the 4 spot. A Thad young or a Bobby Portis (not likely since he hates us) would boost us big time.

Also getting Eric Gordon for Duncan Robinson is enough for me to say we have a successful offseason.

Surprisingly Wall and Rockets agreed to an buyout this early. Thought it would be mid season. Currently not much room on the Heat for a point guard. It was Heat or Clippers and the Clippers roster Currently had the need.

And on top of that the Allstar game in Utah. This is all offseason hope traffic porn. No substance just dreams.

With that said, drafting Jovic is our inside path to getting Jokic for a discounted rate. Prove me wrong.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

New podcast episode tonight from Five Reasons Greg mentioned a few things:

-Continues to hear Philly is looking more likely for PJ Tucker but Miami will hope to keep him.
-Said the Heat actually looked into Dejounte Murray but that looks to be going in a different direction.
-Mentioned a few names that Miami is looking into:
Marcus Morris
Harrison Barnes
Jae Crowder
Nerlens Noel
Will Barton

Funny enough, Ainges last title team featured three Riley guys: James Posey, PJ brown and Eddie House. Ainge is a secret admirer of Riles.
