As long as we're utilizing the asset that is his bird rights to bring in a player then I wouldn't be upset. Do you know who ends up hard capped in that scenario?

Herro and Oladipo are assets we need to leverage to make the team better in this window of time before the trade deadline. Maybe that's using either as a trade chip to improve. Maybe it's using Oladipo's bird rights to re-sign him after we've made other moves. But, it's important ot not squander these assets.

Too much to send for Mitchell. I would hold back Jovic or Strus.

In a sign and trade scenario where we use the Oladipo bird rights to sign and trade him to Sacramento for Barnes, which team ends up with a resulting hard cap? Is it the team receiving the signed player or the team that signed him for the trade?

Team receiving gets hard capped not us.

If the sign and trade player was coming to the Heat we’d be hard capped, going out I’m honestly not sure.

But you’re exactly right, we need to cash in on assets. I’d like to keep Dipo but I want Herro gone.

Only the team receiving the S&T player gets hard capped. Much like the Raptors using bird rights to S&T Lowry to us for assets. We got hard capped last year not the Raps.

It's always amazed me to the extent Celtics hivemind worships Tatum and dismisses any of his limitations and then proceed to turn to Jaylen Brown to vent all their frustrations.

Yes I think Tatum is the slightly better player, but not by much at all. I really hope that discord fosters because its classic Celtics bullsh*t. If Brown had as much of the team catered to him as Tatum does, I'm not sure Tatum would still be considered the better of the 2.

He doesn't fit with our team. He can't shoot the 3 ball. Not good enough for all that IMO

Looking at the Kings roster i’m really feeling optimistic we possibly could get something done for S&T Dipo for Barnes and separate transaction of Robinson for Holmes. Holmes would be a rock solid backup to Bam giving us shot blocking and rebounding. A nice counter to Robert Williams. Holmes has a similar contract to Robinson just a few million less. Kings with Keegan Murray at the 4 actually have a deep front court. Damion Jones and Sabonis are the 5’s. They are lacking shooting from the 3 spot. This trade could work for both teams rather nicely.

Kinda like a young Rondo

Exceptional defender that can handle and play-make.

I'd guess that his 3pt % will improve over time.

Interesting idea for Mia if he is indeed being courted.

I actually spitballed Murray a few weeks back as a hypothetical option.

Like I said 1 n 1 basically. 1 guarantee year the second an option. No one wants to sign him long term. Which is what he wants

Kyrie opting in changed nothing from the Heat's posture IMO (if there is any interest). The window of time between now and the deadline to extend Kyrie will be telling.

Why would we do more than 2 years with a team option? And certainly not anything above 10 per. Dude hasn't been relevant for 3 years.
