Murray is a good player I like, but the star we need has to be high volume scorer first.

That's our biggest need, no sense to add big pieces that don't bring that skillset.

PJ is important to what we do, Dipo with a full offseason to work off the rust is arguably our 3rd best player. Both help the team WIN and that’s all im worried about.

So if we just run it back but lose these 2 key pieces you would actually be excited for the season? Like what’s the point, we know the ceiling already without adding another all star level guy or at worst a very high level role player

Why would we do more than 2 years with a team option? And certainly not anything above 10 per. Dude hasn't been relevant for 3 years.

Exactly. Loosing Dipo based on last season performance isn't a big loss. Gabe, Struss were more impactful than he is. And now maybe with an offseason he can be much better but there's no guarantee. To balance out the risk I'd over a 10 - 13 mil one year deal to prove himself. But maybe the Arisons factoring a PJ deal don't want to go over the tax. If we let PJ walk then I'd assume the tax thing is an issue and Dipo would likely leave as well. The Arisons' primary business took a big hit in the pandemic so I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't want to pay tax for this team

If Herros on the team next season we’re not serious about winning. Not because of the fact he doesn’t help us win games but because of the fact he’s our most tradeable “asset” to bring in a high level guy next to Bam and Jimmy

Feel like you’re implying that it’s very easy to just trade Tyler for a player of more value or a all star type player. If that was the case, it would’ve happened already.

We collectively have to be patient and trust the front office. Either way, Tyler will be an even better player next year.

That rumored offer for Mitchell is fair imo, although I'm probably lower on Mitchell than most. I see him as an allstar caliber player but not all-NBA caliber. Deal will never happen tho because:

1) Riley and Ainge hate eachother

2) Riley and Ainge are both 2 guys who are always hellbent on fleecing other teams in trades

3) And probably most importantly, the Jazz's new owner is fiercely body positive and would never deal with a notorious body shamer like Riley

They can find a move if they really want to, Kyrie is sitting right there

Trading our one trade chip for someone like Kyrie isn’t a very smart move to make.

Lowry, Bam, and Herro had all better be doing some soul searching on how they can be better players and help this man get to the mountain top, it doesnt look like help is on the way

If Tucker leaves for Philly it basically means he feels like they have a better chance at a chip then we do and can bring them over the top. Feels like he can have his cake and eat it too with the 3 year deal if they can pull it off.

The problem with Herro as a trade asset is that his salary is so low you'd have to attach Duncan to any deal. Which is fine for the receiving team while Herro's on his rookie deal but once he's extended for real money then Duncan's contract becomes an albatross for that team

I think IceColdCubano’s guy is Dejounte Murray. Last rumored deal for the Spurs is Gallinari and 3 picks. Duncan has an equal contract to Murray. Heat are probably trying desperately to find a third team to take on Duncan or at least bring expiring back to them.

If he wants to sign with Philly for 3/30 so be it. 3 for 27 is already more than I would personally want to give to a 37 year old D and occasional 3 guy. Im sure him walking will piss of the wing of this fanbase that looks for anything to blame the FO but we cant get crazy in negotiations here.

A reminder to just let things play out before bemoaning about any free agent scenarios. It hasn’t even officially started yet, and we already got dudes on edge. We’re going to get a player or two. Trust that.
