Sounds about right, I would assume we’re moving out one of the younger guys on the roster just for a little extra salary but idk for sure

I have a feeling Miami would need to give more than just one pick though.

I can’t hate on it, we saw what having a high level role player playing at the best of their abilities can do for a team this last offseason with Wiggins and the Warriors

I mean we are helping the hawks obtain Dejounte Murray, it’s fair

I thought the agenda was a championship. That doesn't seem to be the case.
Miami traded an injured Winslow, and players they overpaid and wouldn't use in Johnson and Waiters, it was a **** trade and refused to give Gallinari an extension (because of Giannis watch) which is why they ended up with Crowder.
It wasn't a **** trade. They got rid of two undesirables in Johnson and Waiters for an expiring contract and Crowder, and while I'm not a big Crowder fan he did his job. Gallinari was not putting this team over the top. What team has Gallinari ever put over the top? I have no idea why he's look at as a savior.
Gallo wasn't a savior, he was just better then Crowder but that would have cost cap room... you know the same reason Miami lost Crowder and replaced him with Harkless.
Yes, Miami traded a 35 year old PG who was Butler's BF in Miami and Precious who was Bam's backup for 34 year old Lowry. Not really a great move.
It was the move that JImmy, your boy, wanted. He wanted to play alongside Lowry and the FO made it happen.
What else was Miami going to do? Just roll it back with Dragic and not play Precious again? After telling Butler for 2 seasons to wait on additions, he had to do something to make Butler's not be mad for passing on CP3 a month after Butler got there and then nothing other then letting another good friend of Butler's (Crowder) walk for nothing the next offseason.
Not just Herro but Vincent also who they didn't want a vet min Dragic to take any of his minutes. The point is Miami has had assets to strengthen the roster for a championship run and haven't.
We weren't winning the championship with Dragic on this roster.
It would have helped, maybe not a championship but probably the finals.
All I've wanted with Butler was a team full of tough 2 way players and I'd expect he'd have a chance at a championship, Miami has most of that and guess what, they've had some pretty good success with that yet won't go all in. It's really hard to win a championship and when you have a shot you should go all in but Miami hasn't.
AFTER THEY WENT TO THE FINALS THE MOVED FORWARD WITH MO HARKLESS AS THE STARTING PF.

Don’t see the John Collins play. Hopefully though.

We’ll that sounds to me like it’s not a 3 team deal to land Murray with the Hawks

It doesnt add up. Ice’s man said it was a player on a multi year deal, Barnes has just one more year on his contract

It's ATL's job to find the 3rd team. So the negotiation is between Miami and ATL right now, I would imagine, since Spurs don't want to take back Collins.

Sounds like it’s always been John Collins or Murray for both parties involved.

Re: Offseason Thread 2022 Vol 2- Sardines on Ice
Am shocked to read several takes on here saying they don't care about Dipo.
Dipo is the one who should be getting 25/yr. Ya'll forgot how he balled vs the Celtics? Damn near helped carry us to one of those ECF wins. His defense was incredible and he was scoring. He was actually playable and did well. Dipo is a player that we can count on, just need to help him get back to being consistent like before his injury.
Herro OTOH ...
I don't like Tucker because he was injured during the ECF and his offense is anemic. He'd be fine if we had other scoring options at the other positions. Unfortunately we got an overpaid lardass in Lowry who stunk up the playoffs and went several games with ZERO -0- points. So I dont want Tucker in a lineup like this. Tucker's midrange is not where I want it to be, and I noticed he was open a LOT during the Celtics series in the midrange, and the guy wouldn't even attempt a shot even though he was wide open, in fact most times he has the ball in his hands and doesn't even look at the basket. He's like a robot just executing a play, and the play says to pass, so he will pass and sits there wide open looking around for someone to give the ball to. I really don't like PJ Tucker and want him gone. For this reason and the fact he is old and couldn't stay healthy deep into playoffs.
I think he is done and we need to let him walk.
