That's an accomplishment if you ask me. Ish has had a solid career, he has nothing to be ashamed of.

Send them one of the 3 2nds we have next season and bring him home again.

ETA: Eek, didn't realize we gave him $5M. Strike that, cut him and let us give him the BAE.

Actually, nevermind, just get IT instead.

Can someone explain to me why the Knicks are clearing space for Brunson like he's a prime Michael Jordan? That whole ordeal just seems absolutely insane to me.

That seems surprisingly not good for DEN to me.

I don't get it, Morris was important for them...but whatever, we own their pick

As far as I'm concerned, the value of the 2023 Nuggets 1st round pick just went up.

I was on the MLE for Robinson train. Anything more would've been gross.

Sorry - I didn't mean recently. I was referring more to last year and the year prior when some posters wanted to sell the farm for him.

It's good to see Ish's contract get guaranteed. I think he's worth the $4.7M. I also agree that the Hornets should being back Thomas.

What's the protections on that pick?

What's the protections on that pick?

Denver's 1st round pick to Charlotte (via Oklahoma City to New York) protected for selections:
1-14 in 2023
1-14 in 2024
1-14 in 2025

If Denver has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Charlotte by 2025, then Denver will instead convey its 2025 2nd round pick and 2026 2nd round pick to Charlotte.

Essentially it is lottery protected.

I had the Pistons (Ivey), Knicks (Brunson?) and Wizards (Morris) as potential destinations for Malcolm Brogdon. I'm having a hard time seeing the Pacers able to move that contract. They owe him 3 years, Hield 2 years and McConnell 3 years. And they're trying to tank. And they couldn't get an extension done with Myles Turner. Myles Turner is still on the market.

Assuming Nuggets were going to be healthy in the slightest having both Barton and Morris was overkill. Nuggets got under the tax before league ended and saved 10 million on next years books. KCP in general is a better fit as a shooter, defender who doesn't need the ball as much as Barton to be effective.

Still have Depth Chart of
Murray- Hyland- Ish
KCP-Rivers- Braun
Porter Jr- Reed- Peyton Watson
Gordon- Jeff Green
Jokic- Nnanji

Potentially Dallas as a Brogdon landing spot to replace Brunson or Minnesota for Russell

Assuming they will be healthy is a big assumption, its like assuming Hayward plays all 82

One of these years Jokic won't be able to carry that huge weight. Even if they are healthy, I like the other teams in the West better, and the East is strong too. I think its a good possibility that that pick is in the 15-20 range.

The Knicks and the Hawks are making moves to get better. I hope we don't enter the season with Plumlee and Oubre still being a major part of the rotation.

murray/hunter defense certainly helps overcome trae. not sure how murray fits offensively next to trae.

All of us here would be livid if we traded 25 and 27 unprotected picks for Murray

5 years from now Trae could have the impact of current Bradley Beal and the Hawks be one of the worst teams, a lot can happen in 5 years

If they fit, Murray and Trae are the best backcourt in the East.

5 years ago, Paul George was on the Pacers and they were super promising, Kawhi on the Spurs and super promising, Wall/Beal on the 49 win Wiz and super promising...look at them now

I just don't get teams trading unprotected picks that far in advance. Spurs are set up nicely.
