What do people see in John Collins? I know the Heat really need a guy who can create and get them a bucket whenever, but does John Collins replacing PJ Tucker really move the needle? I'd prefer to use the assets Miami has to get more of an ISO threat.

I think he rounds out the lineup rather nicely. Makes Bam’s job easier cause he can do the dirty work down low but is also a scoring threat himself. He may even allow Bam to have more freedom offensively himself instead of always being the designated DHO guy.

I like the idea of making Bam's job easier. That I agree with 100%, especially the DHO potential. Would be huge for Bam. I've just never been high on Collins. He reportedly wants a bigger role in ATL and he's not getting it in Miami. He also takes away from Miami's switching ability on D. He's got the tools to improve there, but he hasn't shown that he's a plus defender and we saw how important switching is this past postseason.
