First, I agree he doesn’t look out of place, but I am wondering if he is out of position. If he is a natural PG who will grow into the role that is excellent as it allows us to play with more size. But, if he is not a playmaker (I honestly don’t know) would we be better off putting Nowell at the point and Leo at the SF?
Second, Leo is a 20 year old who is adapting to all the things that are different from Euro ball. He deserves a ton of credit for being able to hold his own at this point (which as you guys mentioned he has done well,) but I think it is safe to assume in the next few months as he settles in (if he stays in the rotation,) we will see his game expand and he will likely improve across the stat sheet on both sides of the ball.

Nowell would be just as out of position. I think right now, Bolmaro's defensive importance at the point of attack is why he's getting the nod over Nowell.

Re: The Leandro Bolmaro thread
He's a good ballhandler in the sense that he has decent handles, but not even close to the playmaker I thought he would be. Constantly drives into a defender or picks up his dribble. He is also terrified to shoot.
He's good on defense and he hustles, but I find him to be pretty disappointing overall so far. I'm not closing the book on him but he has a longer ways to go than I had hoped.

I mean, he looks fine for a rookie. If people expected more than that it's on them, not him.

That's correct. We should continue to develop him, because he can be our version of Caruso: long, tough, versatile defender, who can pass, hit open Js and occasionally drive at rim.

Representing Argentina and wearing the jersey is a beautiful dream, (something like that) He is working on getting better and more confident and they are working on team chemistry to qualify for the Olympics. He talks really fast..

Nah, he doesn't speak fast, he speaks like Messi, it isn't neutral spanish. For me it's twangy accent.
He speaks mostly about the national team, but he says that he is improving and spects a big step forward this year.

They also asked him who he compares himself to in the NBA, and he said he's a cross between Ricky Rubio's beautiful face and Alexey Shved's hot bod.
