Sixers BAE

Post#1 » by Madd Squabbles » Wed Jun 29, 2022 8:29 pm

According to Woj the Sixers are telling agents that we will have the BAE this year. I would like to see your prediction on who you think the Sixers will add. Not who you want, but who you think will end up getting it and why.

My prediction is Danuel House. He plays solid defense and he is a decent catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter that shot over 40% from 3 last year. He also has a relationship with Harden, Tucker, and Morey. He's also a decent ball handler.

Saw this title and thought we were getting Taryn Hatcher full time on Sixers pre and post game (-;

House would surprise me simply because the team seemingly didn't have interest this past year when he was taking 10-day deals for Utah.

He is a bit erratic especially on defense. If he didn’t shoot so well he would be out of the league is my opinion.

Well, that’s a pretty good reason to stick in the league lol

Donte DiVencenzo just had his QO declined, and I know everyone loves Nova guys...

Maybe Thad Young? He's 34 and might want to chase a ring on the team that drafted him. He also might be in the taxpayer MLE range though.

Harden/Milton/Springer
Maxey/Melton/Joe
Harris/Thybulle/Korkmaz
Tucker/Thad/Niang
Embiid/Reed/Bassey

Then figure out some trade involving Harris +/- Niang +/- Thybulle (DFS/Bullock/Bertans?)
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I think Morey is still pissed with House, since he brought hoes to the bubble

I'm pretty sure Thad is going back to Chicago.

Otto Porter would be the dream but it's just that... a dream.

I don't know if it's a dream, he signed for 1/2.8 this past season. He's not some big ticket free agent.

Also incredibly injury prone.

Jeremey Lamb? Rodney Hood? Kent Bazemore?

Unless we can get Porter/Warren the options for a cheap wing are pretty limited with BAE.

Not what I want, but I won’t be surprised if we end up giving it to a C so Doc can be happy

We are going to be paying the tax and the repeater tax in coming years. Daryl doesn't value the backup center. Making Doc happy would cost more than Doc's salary in tax payments. Bassey and Reed are more than enough.

both McLemore and Lamb make some sense

McLemore the higher volume shooter, Lamb has better size and can do a little more off the dribble, both have history with Morey (signed McLemore, drafted Lamb)

TJ Warren, Rondo, or Divencenzo would be on my list.

I like Otto Porter, but he's never justified the deep obsession this board had had with him over the years.

Kevin Knox is somewhat interesting in terms of size and athleticism form a bench wing. Inconsistent but not horrible 3 point shooter
