Don't the Heat still owe Lowry close to $60 mil over the next 2 seasons? How in the hell are they getting him?

Cause Pat Riley should have been the Knicks President of Basketball Operations?

Pat always finds a way

Dallas would have to want to take on Lowry's contract and I don't see that happening.

With Riley anything is possible.

Meh, this is too good to be true. It’s probably to avoid any kind of tampering penalty like teams got last summer and lose out on picks.

Unless Dallas takes Randle for him, I’d be happy as fuq to have Jalen choose Miami or Dallas over us. That’ll get Leon fired a helluva lot quicker. Probably worse than Pills trading KP for space only to strike out on KD & Kyrie (and miss on Zion).

Hopefully if it happens Dolan FINALLY catches on that you need to take all the money in your measley little pocketseses and spend it on a real proven front office exec instead of a big name or one of your kiss ass brown nosing cronies.

Yup, also hope he learned his lesson from meddling in the affairs of a real front office (Donnie Walsh).

Always felt bad for that dude, but he was probably the best Gm we’ve had the past 20+ years. He tried his best in 2010, can’t fault him. But man, if he would’ve landed Steph…

It’s time for a proven track record… Isiah, Phil, Mills, Leon… big names with no experience haven’t cut it.

If Cuban goes nuts he can offer Brunson the full 5yr max.

This is the Knicks. Expect the worst.

The icing on the cake (final straw, dagger in the gonads, etc) would be the Knicks fail to land Brunson, panic (again just like last year) and use that cap space on the next Fournier and Kemba Walker then watch Ousmane Dieng and Jalen Duren turn out to be the next Giannis and Bam Adebayo. How sad would that be?

I can see Herro for Brunson. Miami wants to get rid of him and Cuban loves the hwhites.

This would make not going after Murray bad.

Knicks asking Brunson questions like:

“Are we getting serious? Are we an item ? What are we? Do we have a title?”

Meanwhile Brunson like:

“Huh, whatchu said? I can’t hear you. Ho-hold on. Let me call you back right quick, my moms on da otha line.”

[proceeds with his conversation on the other line planning one final phucc session w/ his ex (the Mavs) — or maybe reconciliation — depending on how explosive the nut is]

Honestly this makes not building thru the draft bad.. Knicks were in the position to give up unprotected first for Murray yet.. the Hawks could cause they have their star player already. We still dont

No, but if we do there needs to be a tidal shift towards simply tanking, if we can't get Brunson we shouldn't even bother with free agency anymore.
