Pointing out that Grayson struggled against championship level talent and we may want to move on is heresy on the Bucks subreddit.

If we held everyone to the same standard as we're doing w/ Allen vs BOS then we'd be dumping everyone but Giannis. Then when you factor in that Allen was likely playing injured that series, I didn't get the wanting to trade him.

I mean you have many different people wanting to trade the weak links on the team that got destroyed defensively, it's hardly just Allen. He's not being held to a different standard.

Nwora always reminded me of Jabari but without less explosiveness and not being a top pick to give fans a sense of cognitive dissonance.

We aren't in repeater.

I think people confuse the tax brackets and repeater tax. Obviously repeater tax is bad, but being at the level over the cap that we are right now is just as bad.
And for teams $20,000,000 over the cap or above, the tax rate is $3.75 for every dollar over the cap, and increasing $0.50 for each additional $5,000,000 over $20,000,000.

So yes, you are correct that we are not in the repeater tax. But his comment minus the misnomer was correct

We need a guy making almost 10 million on a team that's capped out to not play pathetic for 6/7 games against real talent. I don't want to trade him for nothing but Its alright to actively seek to move on after what we watched.

Would be very un Buck like. In the Bud era I don't believe the Bucks have signed a guy who doesn't even attempt 3s

To be fair, Semi should have never attempted a three for us.

If Brook was being sent out, I would love McGee, he was really good last year. But it’s no role for him on a multi year contract.

Even though the pickings are super slim everywhere in this free agency, I just can't see how using the MLE on a center is the play for next season. If you think we're getting a Brook replacement or something, whatever, but strictly as a backup center I think you could spend that money better elsewhere and pickup a minimum guy off the pile at center.

We keep hearing it's a done deal, handshake agreement with the owners, he's been in town all summer, etc. But until he signs I'm nervous as hell.

Yeah, I am not breathing sigh of relief until it's official.

We've been following the NBA long enough to have seen more than a few handshake agreements that ended up never happening.

One that comes to mind is Horace Grant with the Bulls in 1994. I remember Jerry Reinsdorf saying that he and Grant had a meeting and they agreed on a deal. Reinsdorf basically tells Grant to go home and that he's going to make up contracts and they'll sign them tomorrow. Reinsdorf said they shook hands on the deal as Grant left his office, then a few hours later he's watching ESPN and there's breaking news that Grant had just signed a deal with the Orlando Magic.

So yeah, never trust a handshake agreement until it's official. Bulls board would have been a fun read that day had Realgm existed back in 1994 lol.

The funny thing about that tweet is that I would ecstatic about our off season if we signed McGgee and traded for Crowder.

He was also forced to play a much larger role than he would have.

Also, the rumors about his hand being injured were apparently true. I recall him being hit on his follow through in one of the games, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s when it occurred.
