I like Yurt, I think he’s great tradebait for us and an asset. I just don’t see Yurt playing here with anything beyond a 15 minute bench role with what Spo does defensively. Whiteside had the potential at one point to defend on the perimeter that never materialized, I think that’s the closest we will see Spo get to a true center having a large role for us

This is the romanticization of Crowder. He’s not the guy you saw in the bubble, thats why Phoenix is ready to dump him.

Not my sweet baby Yurt :(

I like getting off the Duncan deal, but don’t like losing Yurtgod and I’m meh on Jae. Even if he’s 5-6 years younger than PJ I don’t view it as an upgrade per se.

We could also be signing one of the cheap backup C on the horizon Robin Lopez, Dwight, etc. Maybe the Heat FO is fine moving Yurt as long as we get rid of Uncan's contract along with it.

Yep and we just signed a young developmental Center in Orlando Robinson. Could also be making a play still for Bamba even if we trade for Crowder and Craig.

Also, add the fact that Javale McGee is looking for a 3-year deal and the Suns don't want to give him that.

Hmmm. Hurts to see Yurt go.

He’s worth a look again. He’s only 31 still on the last year of his deal. We just ran with a 37 year old in Tucker who plenty thought he was washed. Some players just revive themselves playing in our system. It’s possible Crowder is just made for ours and not the Suns. Just getting off of Robinson’s deal is worth the look.

Trading Duncan for Crowder gives us one less contract to use for a real impact player down the line, its almost a waste. This should be plan Z

What trade pieces would we have if we used Duncan to get Jae? I don’t think we should get him

If having to add Yurtseven with Robinson to make this deal happen is a no brainer. Opens up the books with so much more flexibility. Fills up our 4 depth with Crowder and Craig in one trade with Jovic in the wings behind them. If a big trade opens up we have the expiring's of Crowder and Craig to attach in any deal with Lowry or Herro at the deadline. We can easily sign a vet backup Center or go for Bamba.

Will we have any interest in Sexton?

Although, I wonder if we trade for Brunson.

The trade pieces are the expiring contracts of Crowder and Craig to attach in any deal at the deadline if something opens up. If we had those damn contracts earlier we probably have Jerami Grant right now. The value of those expiring's will be a whole lot easier to negotiate in trade then Duncan’s deal. Especially with us keeping our draft capital

It could be an option if their is nothing left for us to trade this off-season, we would basically be running it back at that point which would be terrible but I understand it for future endeavors.

We’re going to try and get Jae without trading Duncan.

We gonna trade Duncan and a first round pick/s for Brunson? How we can get him and how you feel about it? I mean, We gonna have a really small backcourt but he sure can help scoring wise. Not too sexy.

Nope. Not Duncan, only possible for Brunson to end up here is by sign and trade with Lowry

Not sure if the Mavs would want to participate in that. Cuban hates the Heat org.

Brunson/Vincent
Strus/Herro
Butler/Martin
Crowder/Jovic
Bam/Yurt

How we feel about this?
