Well Old Hands has zero chance of defending the paint at all, but Young Guns aren't exactly stocked with a ton of rim pressure either.

Washington Pierce and champ year Mavs Kidd are still solid defensively (though Pierce was solid as a power forward).

If this is a charity all-star game, Young Guns win easily. If it's a playoff series, I trust the old guys to figure this out. 2009 Shaq was still an auto-bucket and 2017 Dirk was still a gravity cheat code. Offensively, Old Hands is going to be able to keep up with the youth here. MJ and Pierce coming of pin downs and high-post Dirk screens is going to be nice, and Shaq is all the rim pressure you need. 2011 Kidd could shoot, and is the decision-maker that keeps this offense dangerous.

So long as Shaq or Jordan were on the floor at all times, the Old Hands would beat the New Hands playing 4 on 5.
Not every game. But best 4 of 7? Yup.
The Old4 vs the New5, the Old4 would win the best of 7.

Only Ant-Man on the YoungTeam scares me, so locking him down would be key, and then the rest of the oldies are (most of the time) going to win, effectively playing 3 on 4.
