Still unconvinced that committing $110m to an admittedly solid Brunson is a superior strategy to just giving IQ a shot at starting PG and retaining some of the assets that had to be aggressively dumped to clear cap space to enable the signing.

They could move last legs Rose and still get IQ his 30 mpg, though might cut into some Grimes or Cam time. Assumes Fournier is gone somehow.

We all know that is not likely. Fournier will be here. He might even stay on the floor longer because of his shooting (remember, we lose Burkes shooting from the PG position) and a PG who can get him open shots. 2-man game with Randle was the worst thing I've seen.
Karl Anthony-Towms

There goes my hero. He's ordinary.

Chanel should hire you for that one, this is good stuff. I was going to use it for Nerlens

Even with Burks gone we will still have a massive logjam at the position because they are planning on replacing his minutes with Brunson. Kemba wasn’t going to play anyway so it didn’t clear up any minutes, and then you might have Rose coming back. So an even bigger logjam than last year. And some people still think McBride should play too. So yeah at least 1-2 more of these dudes need to go

Knicks shouldn't make any moves because they created a mess and in no way should they be permitted to pivot in any other direction than to deal with it.

Trading Nerlens another terrible move.

Should have let him play out his contract.
Now forced to overpay Mitch, or, heaven forbid, acquire a different center of some kind.

Dolan should hire the current supreme court to run Knicks as they are very activist, kind of odd stance for conservatives who decry judicial activism. Hmm.

Oh. Sorry. Political comment.

I believe Leon's plan is to sign Brunson and then trade for a star. Most likely Mitchell.

But this is the Knicks, so I expect Brunson to sign with Miami and the Knicks to be stuck with Brogdon.

Because every time they pivot they create an even bigger mess. Maybe not doing anything is the best route. They should just collect draft picks and tank and stay away from trades and free agents

Hartenstein was low key really good last year and is only 24 years old.

-He's good Mitch insurance
-Pretty Skilled offensively (averaged 4.7 assists per 36 minutes)
-High "stocks" guy
- Maybe has some potential to shoot it? Has good percentages from 3 on very low volume

I like the signing in a vacuum because he has the makings of a long term starting center, but signing him with Mitch would be committing over 20 million (based on assumed prices) to centers and obviously would block Sims playing time this year.. At least Hartenstein is young as well

Or they could spend more at center and try and acquire Deandre Ayton.
