Let's just let this play out before we throw the book at Miles. Maybe there's more to it and/or the allegations are not true.

I mean I hear you but there was enough for her to have to get professional medical attention and for them to arrest as a felony hard to believe there is nothing to see here

I’m shattered at this news, because the optics are so bad (never, ever put your hands on a woman).

But I agree with luciano - we need to see how this plays out and not jump to conclusions.

As far as the professional medical attention goes: Let’s not forget that last season a fan who got beamed by a ball to her dome went on the news saying she had to take weeks (months?) off work because of the injuries she sustained.

Not saying it’s not true, but I am saying that sometimes when some people see a cash cow in front of them, they grab both teats firmly and milk like hell.

If she is the mother of his kids, I don’t think she’s going to be struggling for money in a hurry. If anything, this will cost her money.

What a **** show. Now, there is a ton we don’t know. Piecing together any story before having more or all of the facts is dangerous. Hitting a woman, or anyone (Will Smith comes to mind), is not ok. But this happens every day and it’s not always black and white. What if she attacked him or hit him first and he pushed her off? Just giving an example. I think people would change their tune but it wouldn’t change the domestic violence charge. I’d like to see what comes of it with more details. But if what it looks like right now is true? Then he’s an idiot and deserves the consequences. I’m happy to pivot to PJ Washington and lock him into a modest deal now if we can.

It's not like she was flaunting her stuff all over the place. If I read the reports correctly, she inadvertently posted a single pic and then upon realizing her mistake, instantly took the pic down and deleted her social media account.

I have ZERO patience or sympathy for a wife or woman beater. It's the ultimate act of cowardice for a man wanting power but feeling powerless to gain it without violence.

The Hornets aside, this is a domestic tragedy. All in the Bridges family are affected, not least of all children. I care not for Miles' future. And his posse needs to be fired, immediately. But his family will forever be changed and damaged because of his act of cowardice.

I, for one, prefer Miles Bridges never play another minute in a Hornets uniform. Let redemption come through contrition, counseling and consequences, but I do not support rehabilitating him on the basketball court, especially the one in Charlotte.

The team can rescind the QO and completely cut ties with him if they want.

They're stuck between a rock and a hard place, it isn't a good look at all to give him a big contract in light of what just happened but just bailing on him isn't the best solution either. He needs therapy and consequences, but the danger of cutting him loose is that he could further spiral out of control.

That wouldn't do anything good for his wife or his kids. He's still the father of those children at the end of the day. Their lives will be immeasurably better if they have a father with his head on straight rather than yet another cautionary tale. His children are the biggest victims in this mess.

The Hornets need to make a decision not only for 2022-23 but well beyond that. This wasn’t getting resolved swiftly even before this news. Now, I expect it to get drawn out. He won’t get offers from other teams and a S&T is likely off the table until this is resolved - which may make it too late.

But lots of questions remain. Who was he in the altercation with? Did he shove them or throw punches? Did he initiate? Did they attack him first? Did it actually happen at all? Is it worse than it sounds and he just went ape **** over something he didn’t like? We know 5% of the details. Granted, it’s bad. Lucky for him he’s a very good NBA player, he’ll still get paid and have a long career but one way or another this news will cost him a ton of money. I’m holding out hope it’s not as bad as it looks, but it probably is

Disappointing way to start free agency. Not sure what to make of the news really without more information. Miles was my favorite player on last year's team, but this will be impossible to look past without some surprise positive development.
