I wonder how many years ,how many lost Championships would take Giannis to realize that his coach and GM are not good enough, and demand changes. Probably never judging from Giannis character, so we are stuck going back & forth. I really hope Horst gets some help to the talent evaluation. I have a strange feeling Bucks / Giannis won't win a ship till Giannis retires or gone. Bucks Org is too incompetent, even the MJ of our era can't overcome.
This summer is crucial and judging from the draft day ... Horst still sucks. We need a kind of a basketball miracle like players forcing their way to Milwaukee, like Portis did
Yes, Horst did nothing to help us last offseason. But we were only marginally worse. Had we not lost Khris to a freak injury (which happens and is part of the game), we'd have been in the Finals. I highly doubt Giannis is looking at the Celtics series and going, "Man, Horst and Bud really ****ed us this last offseason" - no, he's going, "Man, if we had Khris we win in 6."
It's hilarious that you are saying they are incompetent when they made a trade that literally brought us a championship and a core that will always be in the discussion for a championship. And the draft day was fine. He took a guy who has a ton of upside at 24 when literally all the picks in that range are huge question marks. History tells us it's really hard to find an instant contributor in the late first.
1 question were they actually marginally worse though.I mean if bud didnt piss around during the regular season not caring about it n throwing very winnable games away the bucks have without any doubt the #1 seed and probably win as many games as last year.
Yes, they were. The made it to the 3 seed without their starting center for literally 90% of the season. They were one win away from advancing to the ECF without their 2nd leading scorer, who, the season before, averaged 24ppg in the playoffs and gave us the win against multiple teams.
The biggest loss was PJ which was a boneheaded move (assuming PJ really wanted to come back). The other FA moves were poopy I'll be the first to admit. The Grayson trade was good (minus the Celtics series, but again, was in a role he shouldn't be).
Bud's coaching was exactly what I expected. Do I love it? Not always. But did he win us a championship the year before? Yes. And I'm not going to let people say that Bud wasn't integral to our title.
There were a lot of factors for our 2nd round exit this year, and Bud and Horst sure do deserve some of the blame. But to sit here and say that we won't win a title with them here until Giannis retires is absolutely ****ing idiotic.
