-He's good Mitch insurance
-Pretty Skilled offensively (averaged 4.7 assists per 36 minutes)
-High "stocks" guy
- Maybe has some potential to shoot it? Has good percentages from 3 on very low volume

I like the signing in a vacuum because he has the makings of a long term starting center, but signing him with Mitch would be committing over 20 million (based on assumed prices) to centers and obviously would block Sims playing time this year.. At least Hartenstein is young as well

Wait... how much are you expecting him to get in this market?

I've been against giving up a decent amount of cap space to the 5 spot if you're just a rim runner with no offensive skills (Mitch and Noel). I can get behind Isiah as a backup and might start to show some perimeter skills.

Well the most the Clippers can give him is 6 million so if he is looking elsewhere it likely means he is looking more at MLE money which is around 9.5 million.

Difference between Hartenstein and Noel/Mitch is that Hartenstein can pass and dribble the ball a little bit. He's shown some flashes of being able to shoot some as well. However, the other 2 are a lot more athletic than him which raises their ceiling on defense higher than Hartenstein.

Yeah I'm with you on the Hartenstein monster. He's a serious low key C option that could pay huge dividends.

So all potentially good FA go elsewhere, even as NY is freeing up capspace, and you want to look at alternative lower tier FA's. Sounds a lot like last offseason. How'd that work for us. RUN IT BACK!!! RUN IT BACK!!! RUN IT BACK!!!

I’m not sure what kind of market he will have. Most teams will probably be going after Ayton first, and maybe even look at cheaper options.

If Knicks are blowing all there cap anyway they may just splurge….not that I agree with it but seems like they are going to try to spend as much as they can

It's not run it back. We signed over the hill vets last off season and put them in prominent roles at the detriment of the youth. This is get young guys that can support the youth and continue an organic build.

We have young guys! You looking to bury them again? Yes, sounds like last season. If we get no one, SAVE OUR PICKS! SAVE OUR MONEY! SAVE OUR KIDS FROM THIBS! SAVE THE FRANCHISE FOR ONCE!

There is a salary floor. You have to sign a few guys to round out the team. Give a couple of young guys 1 and 1 prove it deals.
