They dont have to play all 33-34 minutes together. In fact they could be paired only 20 minutes give or take depending on match ups. Also Mitchell can be a good perimeter defender and has a 6'10 wingspan.

If we came away with Mitchell R/Hartenstein (better stretch 5) at 5, Randle/Obi at 4, RJ and maybe Grimes at 3, Mitchell/IQ/RJ at 2, Brunson/IQ/McBride at 1

That would be a very very improved team over last years.

Brunson exposed Mitchell as a lousy defender in these playoffs

Mitchell with Robinson in the paint can focus more on perimeter D which he has the abiltiy to be pretty good at. Also what he brings scoring wise is tremendous.

People really wanted the Knicks to give up 4 unprotected first round picks for a guy that isn't a superstar type player, and then in 2 years be forced to give him a max contract because of the compensation you had to give up to acquire him?

this... and i LOVE dejounte murray.

atlanta can't even draft or trade their way out of this now. they are officially all-in.

this trade needed to net them... not murray if they were going to get to the next level.

knicks can sign someone like brunson outright, make another big trade, and still not be popped.

i'm just focusing on getting and retaining the right players for once.
