Nets still want to compete because the Rockets, I believe, control their(Nets) next four 1st round picks, so tanking is not an option.

Look, if it's a mix of available assets (to please BKN) and competitive roster (to please KD), it's hard to argue that Memphis and NO have the best mixture of those.

Guessing Durant still has some say where he wants to go. Phoenix seems like the most sense if he wants to go there.

Still not even considering KD to the Bulls a possibility for sake of my own sanity. PHX has to be the heavy favorite with their assets available and appeal to KD.

Does it get better than NBA offseason??

I'd love Durant obviously but short of him specifically requesting Chicago and only Chicago i can't see it getting done.

It seems like Phoenix is a sure bet if that is where he wants to go.

The KD and the Nets got themselves into a horrible situation.

About that biggest package we could offer without Zach would be:

Vuc or DeRozan
Pat
Coby
Ayo
rights to Terry
2023 Portland pick
2024 1st SWAP
2026 1st SWAP
2027 1st
2028 1st SWAP
2029 1st

or alternatively

Any two of Vuc, DeRozan, or Lonzo
and all of those firsts

Lol what? Why not just send the whole team and those firsts?

Always drama with KD... Do we really want and need that?? After one season if something goes wrong, he will demand another trade lol

The Durant hopium is fun to think about, but Brooklyn has other interesting pieces which can also be had... Claxton, Joe Harris, S. Curry.

Phoenix does make a ton of sense.

Start with Ayton at the MAX (31M), probably Mikal Bridges (20M) even though that would hurt Phoenix to let him go, throw in a couple of 1sts.... maybe add a resigned Claxton and or 8.5M useful player in Seth Curry coming back to Phoenix (if Mikal is in there).

Or, more likely, just Durant for Ayton, Saric, Cam Johnson and many firsts / swaps.

Maybe Bulls can get on this trade and get Bridges or Curry.

Confirmed that Miami can NOT trade Bam for KD. Designated Rookie Exception rule, Nets have Simmons on the rookie extension contract and can’t have 2 players with that extension on the same roster. Don’t think they have the pieces needed to get KD without Bam. Cross them off the list.

They can offer Ayton, fillers and 4 first round picks.

Boston could do Jaylen Brown and 4 firsts.

GSW could bring him back...Kuminga, Moody, Poole, 3 firsts.

Memphis has 4 firsts and JJJ/Bane

NOP looks like they could shoot for the moon w/a huge 6 first round pick offer.

Raptors could do 4 firsts and Scotty Barnes.

Point being - our team can’t get it done vs other offers and Bulls fans shouldn’t kid themselves.

Damn. Hope he goes to the Suns and not the Heat. What a bummer, I wish we had some assets to make something work. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s one less competitor if he goes west.

This also for sure means Kyrie is traded too

Waiting for some Bulls fan to say they cant throw in Pwill because he'll be the next Kawhi or Derozan who's 33 because he still had 5 amazing years left

What assets do he Heat or SUNS have to trade? I'm not seeing them.
