Re: Changing tides in Utah
Sounds like he's going to be gone, then. I think Jensen is ready to be a head coach, so as much as I like Snyder and think he deserved more input on roster moves under Lindsey...I mean we have Danny **** Ainge now. Hope Snyder goes somewhere that works well for him, he seems like he'd be a perfect fit for the Spurs after Pop.

I think if Snyder leaves then Ainge will bring in one of his guys. I agree, Alex Jensen is probably ready to be a head coach but I don't think he is one of Ainge's guys.

Re: Changing tides in Utah
Tonly Jones @ the Athletic reported:
"And right now, the roster has a lot of questions without a lot of ready-made answers. League sources say multiple teams have called the Jazz to inquire about the trade availability of Mitchell, only to be given a firm no. The Jazz have made it clear they intend on building a roster around Mitchell. The only thing that could possibly pry Mitchell from the Jazz at this point is a monstrous offer. They simply don’t have the intention of trading him."
I think this is to get teams who are serious to bring monstrous offers to the Jazz.

What would the Knicks need to add to Burks, Noel and Kemba with 11th Overall for Gobert?

I'd rather have him than Lindsey, I can say that much.
I'm really not sure how things are going to turn out but the guy likes to swing for the fences and make big moves, which I appreciate. If you're going to wreck the franchise, I'd rather it happens quickly and not stretched over many seasons. I can't put into words how frustrating the Lindsey era has been for me, watching all those incremental moves and knowing that we're building around a core that isn't good enough to get anywhere.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I'm not criticizing anyone, I'm only bringing this up because usually when that happens, a player is about to be traded.

I didn't mean to imply that you were criticizing him....... Just a general statement of frustration with our (and his) current predicament.......

Gogert not the man to take playing around him lightly. Be it near the ream or on trade lane. AndI think any good defenfer is somewhat like this, because defensive atttude is somewhat akin to team loyalty. Imagine, if a soldier years after years stubbornly fights to defend last trenches in losing battle and commandeers start dicussion about his trade to other army... he may go over it in time, but can't be cool and happy about that.

Neither Paschall or Forrest had qualifying offers extended. Doesn't mean they can't come back, but makes things look less likely, especially for Paschall.
I also just heard that Juancho will not have his option picked up.

Makes sense with Juancho.......... He's OK, but not worth that amount...... I'm pretty sure Jazz are below luxury tax now......

So, the Jazz now have 9 players, including 2 on team option.

House Jr is signing with Philly. So now the team is without House Jr and O'Neale. Yikes. Waiting to see what they do to fill their DESPERATE need for rangy wings that can D-up.

So, would you offer Donovan in a trade for Durant?

Re: Changing tides in Utah
Juancho played well for us. I hope he re-signs here for a lower amount. I wonder what Coach Hardy thinks about him though. Juancho had a terrible TS%, just 31%, in his 18 games playing for the Celtics last season. He only got 5 mpg there.red4hf wrote:Makes sense with Juancho..........
