You wonder if having another coach not named Billy Donovan would have helped in this situation with Durant.

This also for sure means Kyrie is traded too
What assets do he Heat or SUNS have to trade? I'm not seeing them.

Suns can do ayton and cam Johnson
Heat can do Duncan Robinson and Tyler herro

About that biggest package we could offer without Zach would be:

Vuc or DeRozan
Pat
Coby
Ayo
rights to Terry
2023 Portland pick
2024 1st SWAP
2026 1st SWAP
2027 1st
2028 1st SWAP
2029 1st

or alternatively

Any two of Vuc, DeRozan, or Lonzo
and all of those firsts

Lol what? Why not just send the whole team and those firsts?

A ) he's being hypothetical, didn't say that's what we would offer, its just the most we could offer
B ) a package like that is what it will take to get KD. If KD specifically requests Chicago and only Chicago, we might be able to tone the offer down, but otherwise, no.

Deandre Ayton is a pretty good asset.

Lots of hilarious posts in here. This isn’t the Kevin Durant that won mvp of the finals this is the Kevin Durant that couldn’t drive by anyone nor get any lift on a jump shot and looked ancient against a good Boston team. Lol at anyone trading brown and picks for Durant. I’d be ok with trading for him but I’m not giving up the farm and setting this team back another 5 years by decimating the team.

With all flak he received (some of it deserved) for the failure in Brooklyn- he will absolutely force his way to a team that is already a contender. Sadly- this rules the Bulls out.

Hell no to Simmons. He couldn't shoot to start with and now he hasn't played in a year and we have little idea what he'll look like. I wish the fascination with him would stop.

You have to remember that Brooklyn has no control of their own picks as they traded picks/pick swaps in the James Harden trade. They aren't going "tank" as they would be giving Houston lottery picks if they did.

Brooklyn went from being contenders these past couple years to nothing but turmoil now. I wonder what suddenly pissed KD off?

Probably the only way KD lands in Chicago is if he explicitly calls out Chicago as the place he wants to land.

You're probably right, but the fact that this is happening shows that Marks is doing what he thinks is best for the franchise and not giving in to whatever Kyrie and KD want.

Otherwise he'd just give Kyrie the full max and I bet KD stays.
