I personally am not a huge fan of Donovans but I thought he had a pretty good reputation round the league? Not sure why having Donovan would count the Bulls out.

KD played for him in OKC and apparently didn't love him.

It has to be the Kyrie drama right? KD wants out right after Kyrie opts in? It sounds like he doesn't want to play with Kyrie.

KD left Steph to join Kyrie. He got it.

KD wanted Nash as his coach. He got it.

Kd wanted more decision making power. He got it.

KD wanted Deandre Jordan. He got it.

KD wanted Nets to mortgage their future to trade for James Harden. He got it

No he's requesting a trade instead of cleaning up the mess he made.

That said, let's trade our entire franchise/future for him.

I think the Bulls certainly have the assets to get it done. For example,

KD & Seth for Vucevic, Ball, PWill, and Coby works. If you add a few 1sts, I think that's ultra competetive. In other trades, I think Ayton and Bam are a wash. Both are big huge centers who don't play with enough aggression and will leave you wanting more.

Crazy for Nets/their fans they're reliving the Billy King era all over again. They've lost control of their draft for the next 5 years and that team for which mortgaged those picks peaked at 2nd round playoff fodder as it's about to get demolished. A lot hinges on what Marks can get out of KD and Irving (salvaging value there will be just short of a miracle with Irvings absolutely toxic personality).

This is why I keep coming back to RGM 20+ years after signing up as a kid. NBA offseason is pure entertainment.

A few of your bullet points are similar to others just to make the laundry list long. KD failed as head decision maker. So does MJ everyday.

KD wanted Kyrie and DeAndre Jordan. He never wanted Steve Nash as his coach. He did want Harden. I think the Bulls need to go after him hard. And I do think Brooklyn is not going to care about giving Houston picks. They need to tear it down properly.

Throw the kitchen sink to get Durant. Patrick Williams is worth it. If you pair Durant with Lavine and DeRozan you potentially can win a title even with Tony Bradley as your center.

The kings ransom the nets want might not be out there. Whats sad is Atlanta might have gave up the assets to get Durant for Murray lol

Unless the nets say screw what Durant wants and go to okc and say unload that treasure chest, I don't see this major deal being done for Durant if he lands with a competitive team.

If the Bulls start their package with ayo, pwill Portland pick dalen Terry and future 1st rd pick you can make them listen. Then you add vucevic for the money. That is as competitive as a package as the heat and Suns can offer.

I agree. Anything but DeMar and LaVine. Nice to keeps, which I think can happen, would be Caruso and Ayo. Sign Mo or Hassan Whiteside for C. PJ, I think, would come cheap enough. Bulls are built for short term success and if you don't go all in for a guy like KD, then will you ever?

Whiteside
Durant
DeRozan
LaVine
Caruso

Curry
Terry
Bradley

I like my chances.

If they cannot get him after trying, then go after Ben IMO. Also, I don't think he wins a chip with Miami (he would need to average 35 against the top teams there) or Phoenix (father time is undefeated and I just see CP3 completely breaking down at this point).

Is there anyone KD loves that could help entice him here. I believe he respects LaVine and DeRozan but I don't know that they're particularly close. Can we bring in Nick Collison in the Haslem role or something?

I don't blame them for going all in on Kyrie/Durant, but obviously it didn't work. If Durant's foot wasn't on the line that might be a different story.

It seems like Marks isn't giving in to their demands and is going to do what he thinks is best for the franchise, but we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Are they going to rebuild around Simmons?

I don't believe there's any possibility of a KD to Bulls deal that doesn't include Zach going back to the Nets.

Nets have all the leverage, regardless of what KD asks for.

I imagine that Brooklyn will want picks. How many are you willing to give up for Durant?

As for Ben please keep him away from Chicago. I don't want the drama and I'd have to wait and see him play before I'd consider going after him.

For the record, that was an accidental ‘And 1’ to your post, as I simply wanted to reply by saying;

So what if KD did all those things? All this piling on the players, and wah wah the franchise, I’m really sick and tired of it.

All transactions take two. The Nets never had to go after KD in the first place, nor did they ever have to succumb to any of his requests. They set that precedent themselves and now they are paying the price.

The bottom line, KD deserves the criticism, but so does the Nets for bending over backwards for all these stars to begin with, basically coddling them, and now they basically have bratty kids and they are wondering where it all went wrong?
Why so serious?
