Easy guy to cheer for, should be reuniting with Mikal Bridges but oh well. Hopefully the beginning of a new era.

I mean it's a slight overpay, but when you're in a position like the Knicks you have to. I do like Brunson, he plays smart and is a great shooter. It'll be interesting to see him with the ball in his hands full time, when Randle/Barrett also used to having the ball in their hands to operate. Our perimeter defense is still going to be trash, but our offense got better by leaps and bounds.

If we have some off ball movement, this offense has the potential to be fun to watch.

not the biggest brunson fan but i think he may have another level to unlock as we've seen how well he played without luka. our PG drought may finally be over. hopefully he can make things easier for RJ and Randle as well.

Not saying this as copium but I feel like people are actually sleeping on him. I saw somewhere that he averaged 20 and 7 without Luka last season. Is that true?

I hated his dad on this team... lets hope I like his tenure here.

I ain't that enamored with him like some here, but I will always give a new player a shot to show me what they got. Hopefully Randle will defer and stop trying to be the PG now.

I'm pretty happy about this deal all around. We finally don't have to question the pg position going into a season. Brunson's efficiency inside the arc is something fierce for a guy his size and I think there's more to his passing ability than what meets the eye with his basic stats. Thibs also has a history of getting the most out of offense first smaller guards. I think it's a really good match and I hope he exceeds the contract given to him.
