Source?

Well then the nets don’t deserve picks for Kyrie if he’s planning on leaving, Lowry for Kyrie straight up and see if we can get Atleast 1 ring

Yeah maybe that's why the price is so low like Cubano has been mentioning.

Not sure of the math, but that could be a problem.

Not that Kd has a choice but I’m not sure he wants to play with Harden after what just unfolded last year with the Nets

Not sure how true this is but Maxey is a better player and asset than Herro. Don’t see Harden and KD teaming back up though

Is nobody learning anything from Kyrie's history? Boston was a disaster, Brooklyn was a disaster, he's a high risk with high reward player and why would you not want to do everything you can do to team up Butler and KD? KD almost caried the Nets past last year's champs, Butler's teams have only been beat by finalists the last 4 years.

Sounds like Kyrie will be the much more cost effective options while Durant seems like we are competing with a lot of other stronger forces. Suns have all there picks. They can offer 2023,2025, 2027, and 2029 easily

Possibly one year of Kyrie vs having KD signed for 4 years?

Good god, KD scored 30 ppg last year with a TS% of .634. while being a +9 ortg-drtg.

Toss in Spoelstra getting to utilize him better and who knows how good he can be all 4 years.

It will be interesting to see the extent to which KD has a choice. Objectively, it's easy to say he's on a 4-year deal, Nets have all the leverage. But, this is really a player's league and KD going straight to the owner for the trade request is an interesting tidbit to monitor with regards to if BKN will try to "do right" by KD.

Unless he plans on not playing and destroying whatever he has left of his reputation, it’s not going to happen. The 76er didn’t trade Simmons on day one. Just thinking out loud.

There was a report a few days ago that said the Nets are willing to trade both kyrie and durant to avoid a season like last year.

Im guessing there is some behind the scenes stories that will get leaked after they trade the players away.

I already know about kyrie’s shenanigans and he doesnt surprise me.

Durant though, ive always heard he is very respectful to his coaches and front office, he and Nash had many one on ones and he liked having a guy that played the game at a high level giving him hands on coaching.

My guess is on durant, they probably want to start the rebuild on the future now and they feel they can get the most right now on Durant, probably end up with a large package of unprotected picks. They probably dont want to risk his value going down after another season.

I would not trade for Kyrie... He destroys every team he has been part of and is only under contract for another year....We will go to LA next year to play with Lebron. I would not give up any assets for him

Exactly, they should’ve just traded harden for KD but harden opted out Haha

In a vacuum its an easy choice. The cost difference is what the calculation really comes down to.

Kyle, Herro and Bam + picks for KD and Ben Simmons.

Ain't gonna lie Ben is probably better lol The world is down on him because he doesn't shoot(sounds like a certain player on this roster) but he's a proven star. Losing Bam and netting those 2 would be a steal if it was on the table lol

The cost is no issue to me when it comes to adding top 10, possibly top 5 talent for 4 years. This is the type of player teams tank for years to get a shot at.

If I were the Nets I'd ask for Joel Embiid.
