Not sure of my own answer to the question. It would also depend on who else was available. But.. we could use a bucket getter off the bench, and I've always thought his game would mesh well with Embiid. I'm just not sure if he's a viable option defensively in the playoffs.

Explain the logic behind Porter please? Has been injured forever. Was okay this year, and then got hurt again in the finals. What is the point of going after injury prone players. House seems better, but not by much.

Also, his three point volume isn't great. Career 1.3 3pm on 3.4 attempts. Tobias has been marginally better on that front.

There is a premium on wing size, shooting and defending. Porter checks all three boxes. 6'8 phenomenal defender that shoots ~8 three's per 100 possessions. Really good player. He was great for GS all season.

This was also his only healthy season in the last 3 years, he was even injured this year. Can't count on him. It'll be like Danny going down during the playoffs.

If we were using the MLE I might agree the risk isn't worth it. But we're talking BAE, if it doesn't pan out, I'm not losing sleep over the missed shot with Otto or TJ.

Yeah I figured his D is bad…assume he can stand in the corner and cover other stretch 4’s. If he’s on a bench unit with Melton, Thybulle and Reed I don’t think he’d hurt too bad.

Yeah I’m not sure how picky you can be when shopping in the bargain bin with 4mil (as crazy as that is to type). All of these guys are going to have warts, just a matter of finding the best fit.

Team still needs additional infusions of athleticism and the BAE may be a great place to add that. I'm not against more vets like Porter, but he's really more of a 4-small five at this point than a swingman. Tucker adds a lot of what Porter seems to still bring, House is meh, more like a vet minimum guy to me. I'd like to see Morey use one of our FA spots to add an athletic wing, likely at the BAE or the minimum if it is a new scenery to revive a player type move.

My prediction is Danuel House. He plays solid defense and he is a decent catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter that shot over 40% from 3 last year. He also has a relationship with Harden, Tucker, and Morey. He's also a decent ball handler.

I called it! I don't particularly care for the signing but I called it. Would have liked him for the minimum.

Not the biggest fan of the House signing, but wouldn't you want him to sign a bigger deal? We can't sign any extra players so you may as well pay him more in case you can flip him later. Or is that incorret?

I wanted to sign a better player like Otto Porter Jr. and I wanted to sign House to the minimum but I admit that this was a dream scenario for me.

It's my hope that PJ Tucker and Tobias Harris play the power forward minutes and I wanted two small forwards to play those minutes but we could still possibly trade Matisse to get that player.

That was more due to House's off-the-court decisions and on-the-court decisions. If he just plays his role as he did in Utah he will be exactly what we need. I can very easily see House starting for us.

I'm hoping that due to Tucker's age we can play him off the bench as a backup 3/4 and to close games.
