What a complete disaster.

We are the worst run franchise in all professional sports. It's been 43 years since we won 50 games. It looks like we are sure to get to 50.

I just can't believe how monumentally stupid this is. Nobody else out there would pay him $35 million a year, and we're going to pay him $50M.

If it wasn't for this stupid message board keeping me sucked in, I'd have become of Cleveland Cavaliers fan by now. At least then, I'd feel a smidgen of hope.

I had to log back-in here just to chime in and how ridiculous this is.

It's literally like the team learned nothing from what happened with Wall :banghead:

This team is going nowhere soon and will be stuck with the same late lottery picks for the next few years.

I haven’t followed this situation closely but why did the franchise give him a contract like that? They signed him as if he’s the final piece of their championship run.

Wow.

Almost the same as what the Nuggets paid to sign the two-time reigning league MVP.

Let's at least hope the wrist stays OK.

Jokic just signed his max. He has the highest contract now.

Hopefully the cap and luxury tax get closer to $200M after the next TV deal with Disney/Turner/Whoever else the NBA wants to include as they want to get $75B on the next one..

You seem to be implying that there is potentially a rational answer to this question. There isn't. It's total madness.

At the end of the day, some teams are fine with tanking and some teams are not.

You think this is Tommy-driven???

It's a Turd special no question about it. Jerry West couldn't save this team if he was the GM under Turd. Turd ONLY cares about getting 2 home playoff games. Trying to win a title is irrelevant for him.

If Tommy had drafted better then this would make some sense. We may be the blandest team in the league. Our ceiling is the play in. Maybe Tommy has something up his sleeve.

I just don't understand this. Why not miss those two playoff games for 3 years while tanking and building a team, and then playing 8 home playoff games in Year 4?

And after that,we would have a competitive team that will play in many more home playoff games going forward.

This ownership is deathly afraid of being irrelevant, while not realizing that we already are.
