He can make a shot and shoots over 40% from the line I’m already sold. He will be closing games for us lol

Thanks for getting this discussion started

And he can shoot the 3...

Start him and give him 33 mins per night.

Sims is the Backup C

Sorry Mitch...Practice your FT's and also learn to score more than 2ft away from the rim.

He's attempted 47 3's in 4 years.

I don't think we can call him a 3pt shooter

Is this guy better than Nerlens Noel (who we just gave up draft capital to move).

Did the front office not learn the lesson from last year just handing out 2 year deals?

Just when I thought maybe they would be smart and give Brunson a front loaded deal that was better for long term cap space.

Knicks gonna Knick.

Looks like he's a taller David Lee. I like it.

Fantastic pickup. Hartenstein is a favorite of analytics buffs and he’ll be a fan favorite too.

I was a big fan of Hartenstein in the 17 draft and pissed he went right before our Dotson pick. Can't say I've followed him much but I remember he was considered a generational euro big by some scouts. Looking forward to finally having a Center with some offensive skills to back up the defense.

We're getting a lot of praise for this, especially from knowledgeable Clips fans:

I'm just happy that we found a backup 5 who isn't a clone of Mitch in terms of strengths/weaknesses, like Noel was. Hartenstein will give us more spacing and a different look for opposing defenses. It will be nice to roll with a stretch 5 when want to.

They needed to

Mitch doesn't have to be signed using cap space, Hartenstein does

So if we sign Mitch to 4/60 like rumored, then we don't have cap space so we can't sign Hartenstein

We sign Hartenstein using up our cap, then sign Mitch going over the cap.

Why would you sign Mitch and you have Sims for dirt cheap???

I'm into it. Some of you will be wearing his jersey by mid-season.
