Jaylen, Theis, Nesmith, 3 firsts, 1 swap.

And possibly Timelord instead of Theis.

How about Smart instead of Timelord? Celtics can sign Bruce Brown in his place.

I wonder if Toronto is really in on KD. Or just fishing.

Nets forum saw this suggested
“Brown
Tatum
Williams
Multiple 1st Picks”

That seems like an overpay, even for KD

Still wondering whats going on with Zach Lavine and the Bulls. Guess it's not a slam dunk he is resigning with the Bulls.

I keep saying it, we just need one wing and one forward who can give you 15-20 minutes of offensive help each. That would have made a HUGE difference in our spacing in the playoffs.

Huge difference in resting the jays too. Not just guys to fill the slots, but guys who can make an impact. Guys who Ime will play and won't be worried they can't help hold a 20pt lead.

Not sure how much Gallo is going to help that. I think that would be more the perimeter/wing player I mentioned. I envision the PF/C rotation as one group and the PG/SG/SF as the other.

What I'd like for PF/C in the playoffs:

PF: Horford (8 minutes), Grant (20 minutes), Tatum (5 minutes), Gallo or other offensive forward signing/trade (15 minutes)
C: Rob (28 minutes), Horford (20 minutes)

Then what I'd like for PG/SG/SF:

PG: Smart (33 minutes), White (15 minutes)
SG: Brown (21 minutes), White (6 minutes), free agent or trade wing acquisition (21 minutes)
SF: Tatum (32 minutes), Brown (16 minutes)

Adding a guy like Gallo is more about reducing Horford's workload and getting some more front court spacing. It's the perimeter guy that will really help with Tatum/Brown.

Shall we give them one of the banners hanging in TD Garden too while we at it?

That's the dumbest **** trade idea ever. We're going to throw our entire core at them just for 34 year old KD? what purpose would that serve

Seriously though, teams who are in on KD aren't going to make other moves until that domino falls. And I can't help noticing we haven't made other moves yet.

That is awful for us, just awful. I'd be hard pressed liking Brown for kd straight up, let alone all those picks

Agreed, something is up, doesn’t mean it’s gonna be done but they’re for sure engaged in talks.

I have a feeling most of these players will be resigning with their current teams. Garry Harris, Bruce Brown, TJ Warren, Jalen Smith (for the upside) and Thomas Bryant are the ones I like from this list.

Wright didn't play a lot last year.. Agree about Porter. Gary Harris gets the MLE, or more from a surprise team like Indiana who wants a vet. Bryant is leaving Washington but no one knows where he's headed.

Isn't KD signed for another 4 years tho? If it's "2 years of Brown (and maybe more)" vs. "4 years of guaranteed KD" then I think it's hard to say no to the trade. Yeah Brown can re-sign with us but it's also just as possible that he doesn't.
