Beasley+Reid+Layman+2nd for Randle..f it...atleast we won't get outrebounded lol. and Randle will make opposing bigs work; and sets great picks to free up and drive and kick out to our shooters.

Ice, this is the trade talk thread. There's a FA thread. Please look into it.

i'd take small trade of claxton and harris for beasley and Layman. Both can be starters on this team.

time for Conelly to show off his negotiating skills and land us either Myles Turner or Ben Simmons.

My initial impulse buy (offer) is DLo, McDaniels and 2 firsts for KD, not a penny more.

KAT / Kessler
Vando / Prince
KD / Prince
Ant / Beasley
Bev / McLaughlin/FA (Rubio?)

This would be a good look for KD to retool his image. Winning multiple chips with THE Minnesota Timberwolves would completely change KDs image.

Why for the Nets?

- DLo reunion + expiring.
- Tank for Wembanyama.
- Stick it to KD by sending him here (kidding).

Brooklyn cannot tank, Houston owns a pick swap. I do think there is a world in which Minnesota can be competitive, but it will likely take a Brooklyn/Houston Harden package to get it done.

Saw this thinking earlier, and initially agreed. However, Houston is bad for awhile. That pick will likely be high. If Houston is 4 and Brooklyn is 7, that stills works in your favor to tank. Plus, lottery balls always throw some fun into the equation.

I’m listening to the ESPN Free Agency Special, and, as always, ESPN takes time to cover the Lakers. Anyway, their expert said that their free agency signings are young, athletic, (cheap) no names. However, this was their plan - switchable defense in free agency, and the next step is that they believe they can trade for shooting.

Westbrook would make $53.3 mil with his 15% Trade Kicker, but it’s an expiring. Obviously the Lakers need to get him off the team in one of LeBron’s final valuable seasons. Would you trade DLO and Beasley for Westbrook, if you got the LAL 2027 and 2029 1sts (say, top 4 protected).

We might end up needing to buy out Westbrook, but we’d add two picks for trading, and maintain all our 2023 cap space, and find minutes for Nowell.

I say roll the dice and bring in Kyrie, I would offer Russell,McDaniels and our 1st pick next year.It would be a big roll of the dice but if Irving buys in a big three alongside Towns & Edwards would be without question a title contender.Worst case Irving doesn't pan out and is a one year rental with us just giving in a 20 something pick and losing a solid young talent. If it blows up and we don't resign him we would have a MAX slot to play with next off season.

100% I would. But while the lakers think Kyrie is an option, they won’t make any other trades.

I would need both picks unprotected and Kendrick Nunn. Not only would we be handicapped for a year, but we would also be making a rival better. That doesn’t come cheap.

I'd try to get those picks unprotected. Lakers might balk, and it might not end up mattering, but I'd go for it!

Those picks are probably too far out for most teams to see value in them. They could be really valuable in the end, but I don't think you sink the team for that risk. We could take back a bad salary next year if we look like we will strike out. Too soon to do this.

Yes. Too expensive.

I’d consider him in a trade for DLo to replace their Brunson hole, if the other piece was something useful, like Maxi Kleber.
