I mean sure, but he's still a 2 way player that plays elite defense at the wing. if you have any actual championship aspirations, an elite wing defender who is more than just 3+D on offense is premium in the playoffs.

Besides Beal, lot of money for role player there, which no one should pay.

Why doesn't every team in the NBA just cut those guys and play guys from the G-League or just drafted?
More money for the Beals etc

I don't think he's anywhere near the defender he came into the league as. Whether or not that is just OKC not being relative but his metrix aren't what they use to be.
