I kind of wonder if BRK spends a couple days looking for trades, don't find any they like, then go back to KD with the old "we didn't find anything, how about giving it another year?"

Like if ever a team was gonna just roll the dice and say "no, play for us, you're under contract" it would be this one right? That team with KD/Simmons/Kyrie and a better bench COULD win it all next year. They could easily gamble on them being better and that smoothing things over.

But probably not. Because no team has the stones to try it.

I forgot there's no rule forcing Nets to trade KD today. This might get dragged on through August if FAs/S&Ts aren't involved.
