if i am nets just dont allow the trade and let the guy rot in NJ

and dont get any assets via trade? doesnt seem like a great idea

trade him to Twolves for KAT + 4 FRPs

Is Khan our GM?

Minnesota is about to pay KAT 4/200 as an extension, doubt they move him for a 34 year-old Durant.

If I was the Nets, I'd consider telling Durant to go pound sand. The Lakers did this with Kobe famously. So did the Rockets with Hakeem.

If a Kyrie-to-Lakers deal didn't work before he opted in, I don't get why it would make sense now

I believe it was 91 or 92. A Rockets fan will need to confirm. It was definitely a year or two before the back to back

Sometimes I have to remind myself, "no, most fans don't care what a backup center shot on floaters, let alone know who hartenstein is" lol

I've heard the clippers probably can't afford him after bringing in wall. Would be a solid pickup for another team.

Well then... I actually posted that before I even knew the Knicks had interest :dontknow: Not bad.

Floaters aside, is he any good? How is his defense?

Yep and good passer for this position:

Remains to be seen if he can spread the floor at all for real. I think they still bring back Mitch to start.

If I was the Net I would legit tell Kyrie sit out the year or expand your list.

The Lakers have nothing to offer. THT, their young prospect, isn't that good and isn't locked up on a cheap contract. Why would you want him? Their latest 1st rounder is yrs into the future.

Hart is very good all-around. He'll be missed here in LA.

The one caveat is that he fouls a ton, which is going to mess with his playing time.

Durant is likely not going to be top 20 all time when he retires. He might be on the very fringe right now but there are multiple guys in the league rising fast who will displace him.

The fact that the two teams he's asked to be traded to are both no. 1 seeds... Such a cupcake.

He may retire with the distinction of being the best not to have his number retired anywhere. There is a real chance. # retirements reflect the feeling fans and management have for the players. Orlando never retired Howard or Shaq's number for instance due to how much mgmt remained pissed at them. Anthony Davis will not get his number retired in New Orleans due to fan sentiment.

Feelings are ambivalent about Durant in the Bay Area and OKC. I don't really think the bitterness of either fanbases is legitimate but it doesn't matter. It does exist. Brooklyn mgmt will outright hate him based on how these 3 yrs went with his enabling of Kyrie.

me too but it isn't impossible that they don't. Especially if there is real bitterness from within the organization. At least in SF I meet a lot o Warrior fans. Views range from thankful to annoying mercenary who we didn't need anyway.

this statement makes it seem like it's just a matter of durant retiring

i doubt there's real bitterness from within the organization anyway
