I literally can't think of one

Warriors

I see that as 0 to 0 therefore not less but a tie

They lost JTA. Huge negative. That would be like losing Malik Fitts.

Where do you think KD will end up in the Summer of 2024 when he asks out yet again? Maybe then we'll be able to get him on the cheap. I would reluctantly be willing to part ways with Sam Hauser and a top 59 protected 2nd round pick when the time comes.

If they get Gallo, only TPE options are also scorers who don’t play defense..

Hell, just let Kemba Walker and Carmelo Anthony split the MLE and call it a day

Smart White pp and jd is fine with two stashes for gurads. So I'm good there. Any 6"7 3 and D's guys available. Not impressed with huaser, fitts, Ryan, Thomas, kornet, morgan, stauskis.

Maybe they are thinking Nesmith and Hauser will provide enough and not sign anyone. Nothing would shock me. This is the Celtics and free agency after all.

KD and Kyrie causing chaos but they want to stay in Brooklyn. That's my (new) theory.

I'm not trading a 25-year-old stud who was undoubtably our best player in the NBA Finals.

Tatum is 24

Tatum was our best player in the Finals?

Not sure how much Gallo is going to help that. I think that would be more the perimeter/wing player I mentioned. I envision the PF/C rotation as one group and the PG/SG/SF as the other.

What I'd like for PF/C in the playoffs:

PF: Horford (8 minutes), Grant (20 minutes), Tatum (5 minutes), Gallo or other offensive forward signing/trade (15 minutes)
C: Rob (28 minutes), Horford (20 minutes)

Then what I'd like for PG/SG/SF:

PG: Smart (33 minutes), White (15 minutes)
SG: Brown (21 minutes), White (6 minutes), free agent or trade wing acquisition (21 minutes)
SF: Tatum (32 minutes), Brown (16 minutes)

Adding a guy like Gallo is more about reducing Horford's workload and getting some more front court spacing. It's the perimeter guy that will really help with Tatum/Brown.

Good post. I look at it as this --> we need to add 3 rotation players that can contribute in the Finals. A big, a swing player, and a point. I have faith in DWhite. But Grant Pritch and Theis all need to be jumped over in the depth chart. Plus we need an additional big to reduce minutes to Horf and RWill in the regular season. We need a lot more than what I've been reading if we're going to win it all.

I don't think Grant needs to be "jumped" in the depth chart. But he probably should me more at 20 minutes/game instead of the 28 he played in the playoffs this year. And then Horford should have his minutes cut by 8-10 from the 35 per game he played these playoffs. So that right there carves out your Gallo or other stretch 4 minutes.

A better big than Theis would be nice but he's more than ok enough to fill that regular season slot. It just leaves us dependent on health for Rob/Al, but there's always a limit to how much resources you can allocate to someone who you don't want in your playoff rotation other than injury.

Ok that's fair. Imo Stevens can't work around the edges. Opposition injuries were a part of our success. And the opposition is gearing up as there's no clear favorite yet. I want Stevens to go bold and capitalize on our core now. We gotta big target on our back now. Let's meet the challenge.
