5. Utah - for Mitchell if they get all crazy in Salt Lake

I don't think OKC or Boston are realistic.

I wouldn't hate Miami at all if it wound up Hero and Bam to a 3rd team for something dope, with picks.

I also wouldn't rule out Miami as Kyrie's landing spot if KD is dealt elsewhere, for Lowry and pick(s) and salary filler.

And I know it's a kind of dumb one for BK, but I wouldn't mind:

Paul Geore, Mann, picks, filler

Simons is off the table. We can't trade for Bam either

True, I'm thinking Bam to a 3rd team though, you can probably get a haul for him as well. A team like OKC or New Orleans would probably love to get their hands on him.

You sure on Simons? I thought only 5 year rookie max was 1 per team?

Is that a ranking? I don't know much about Sharpe. I was surprised to see Portland 2nd.

Mitchell & MPJ are on the designated rookie list.

3 teams that the Nets would likely try to engage are Cleveland (Mobley), Minnesota (Edwards) & Memphis (JJJ/Bane).

This is why culture is important I saw the same problems with my Jets a few years ago. We bring in these hired guns to put us over the top and we let them run the show to please them then it ends badly. Hit the reset and build a culture. KD and Kyrie couldn’t walk into Miami or Golden State and pull this nonsense.

Definitely a swing for the fences package, but I like Sharpe's potential.

Can always be rerouted for more picks to a team that could take one of them.

Or deal Simmons separately to clear the way.

Let’s play with that idea.

Brown
Tatum
Williams
Multiple 1st Picks

Nothing less. I don’t know what the hell people think this is. This is like LeBron or Kobe getting traded here in elite playing shape. This is a 6 1st round picks / swap deal or superstar for superstar.

Anyone who thinks we’re coming out with a strong haul should do coke. Even Billy King could draft better offers than some of these pathetic journalists and wannabe beat writers.

Is this an actual post or are you trolling? Tatum Brown Williams and multiple 1sts? Do you actually watch the NBA?

You actually watch the Nets or the NBA? KD had one MCL injury away from another MVP.

Not sure why you all think you can come here and believe you will get him for a Carmelo Anthony and Anthony Davis package. Stop it.

We have 3 years to hold onto him. No reason to ask for anything less.

The problem would be mental toughness so it would be good to get a strong personality vet for Kyrie. If they could get something like Lowry and Tucker from Miami for Kyrie plus Ayton and Bridges for KD, that would be a solid team with a pretty bright future to build on. Ayton still has a ton of upside. Amare may help with his aggressiveness too.

If you look at Ayton's FG% from each mid range area, it is elite, better than any C. He also can switch defensively and is pretty versatile. People often say he's spoon fed by Paul but if you just toss it to him anywhere it midrange, he will hit at a very high range.

His TS% of 65.6% considering he shoots 2/3 of his shots outside of 3 ft is pretty impressive. He had the highest FG% in the NBA of players who had over 10 shots. Actually among the best in history, which is crazy given most of his shots were away from the rim, in the short mid range, mid range, or long mid range.

Here is his shot distribution. You can see he has a ton of assisted shots but that's in part because if anyone just tosses it to him anywhere in mid range, he has an elite hook shot from 3-10 ft and a great mid range shot outside of that. Around 59% from 3-10ft, and 55% from 10-16ft. Then like over 46% from 16 ft-to 3 pt range. He will add the 3 too...and was over 39% from 3, albeit on very low volume.

Splits by distance including a shot chart... https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/aytonde01/shooting/2022

My biggest concern with him is the aggressiveness. I appreciate his skills but if he's not assertive what's the point of all those skills.

However, since you've watched more of him what do you think his ceiling is and what are his biggest weaknesses that can be worked on?

Also Amar'e left the coaching staff because the work balance didn't fit what he was looking for.

I think he has enormous upside. But I think people view him as what he should be rather than what he is. He is a smooth shooter/scorer who does show aggressiveness and drives on occasion.

But each season he comes back with something added to his game. 2nd season it was a huge improvement on defense. 3rd season it was efficient shooting all over and a little more defensive improvement. This last season he expanded his range and shot well from everywhere and had an elite hook shot that was like 65%.

Think offensively more like Duncan than some aggressive guy that dunks all the time. And a guy that can stay on the floor on defense in the playoffs and loves the matchups with the big names. Upside still huge. I think he adds 3 this year and gets a little better at creating his own shot and then as time goes on, more aggressiveness, getting to the line. creating his own shot. He sometimes can be inconsistent rebounding.

He is also a great screen assist guy and one of the few players in the NBA who is near the top in contested 2s AND contested 3s. Often times you would notice that smaller players will try to drive around him and they want to shoot but he stays in front of him and they decide not to even shoot and pass out. He is great at contesting and even preventing people from shooting.

Only 23 too.

Sounds like you guys don't want him though.

I never catch PHX games because they don’t start until 10pm EST. My impressions of him largely remain from his college days, but if he’s progressed as much as you say he has, I’ll probably have to watch some highlights to see everything you’ve mentioned. If he’s that good and still improving, then I’ll definitely have to adjust my view of him and reconsider my opinion on acquiring him.

Unless Marks plan is to tell KD, sorry Phoenix doesn't work because of the hard cap and Miami doesn't work because of Bam's designated rookie status. You're going to Toronto/Memphis/Cleveland or staying here.

Do you guys expect teams that KD has not put on a list or tells he doesn't want to go to, to put up solid offers? If he wants out of Brooklyn will a team like Memphis want to offer up Bane and JJJ? I am not sure I would if I was Memphis (though I love Bane and like JJJ quite a bit). I am not asking this as a Suns fan really hoping the Suns could get him for Ayton/Bridges/picks because I really like those players and building from within, kind of like I liked your team you built with Atkinson as coach more than your recent one even though it had more talent. I like internal building and watching players grow, etc.

I'm just curious if you think solid offers will come from those teams.

Also do you think Miami will offer up Bam, maybe to a 3rd team to where that team sends nice assets your way along with Herro coming from Miami?

Do you like the proposed Philly offer?

What young all star or close all star would you expect?

Think the Pelicans throw up a nice offer?

How long you think Nets will wait? I know I would wait as long as I needed to.

Do you think there is any chance the Nets tell KD they will extend Kyrie and meet his demands and KD decides he wants to stay? KD isn't exactly strong minded...obviously he seems to change his mind a lot.

I think that signing Claxton to a contract pretty much confirmed the rumor that the Nets don't want Ayton.

However, Bridges and Johnson plus multiple picks is a good conversation starter.

It's very disappointing to see when a team rolls out the red carpet to players and give them the keys to the franchise for them to only act the way they did.
Hopefully you can get fair compensation for KD and move on.

Appreciate your sympathy. A lot of people are dancing on our proverbial grave.

It also seems a bit surreal that Marks dug us out of the hole Billy King put us in and yet we’re back in a situation with another team owning all of our draft capital for years. The silver lining is that we have KD & Kyrie as assets to trade, while we didn’t have that after Billy King.

I think it will be hard to get a team to trade for KD if he comes out and says he does not want to go there. There has to be at least a 25% chance he goes nowhere.

The thing is, with Bridges and Johnson, since Johnson is on a rookie contract, to match salaries the Suns would have to add like Crowder and Craig or Payne or Shamet or Saric. You'd need at least two of those players and they couldn't be Payne and Craig as they don't make quite enough combined I don't think.

GSW won chip.

Curry finals MVP and has 2 rings without KD

Kyrie is Kyrie

This clown did it to himself. Now feel the consequences that come along with making bad decisions. KD is privileged man, just not the happy one once you start looking at him.
