We finally have a cohesive locker room and you want to bring in the guy that destroys everything he touches?

Not to mention bringing in such a notable anti-vax guy after what KAT has been through?

I wonder if we're involved in the Durant stuff. Maybe for Ayton? With something headed to Brooklyn?

We do need a consolidation trade though.

I really believe we are in something, but I don’t know what yet. Dlo and Beasley both seem like trade bait at this point. Lea could also be a throw in.

I'd say most of the guys are on the table. Reid's days look numbered, for example, and I'm not sure you pick up either his or Nowell's options this year if the plan is to absolutely 100% keep them for next couple of years.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Vando is shipped out too. I'm not hoping for it but if we get an upgrade at the big spot, whether that's a C like Gobert/Ayton or maybe a PF like a John Collins, then I'd expect Vando to be gone in that deal as a cheap replacement for the other team.

I tend think we are targeting a big for a team that wants one by offering DLo which is why we are linked to so many. There might be some bigs we are interested in, but many of the names make ZERO sense, given size, duration and existing salary commitments.

If Durant goes to Miami for Bam, Nets need to trade Simmons since they can't have two players with that rookie extension acquired through trade

I've always been ok with trading for Simmons if Russell was main piece heading out

Russell for Simmons sounds great to me, not going to include McDaniels though.

Neither team would do that. The Nets are facing the biggest cluster**** in recent NBA history. They sold the farm to get Harden only to sell him for Simmons, a couple role players, and 2 firsts (not very valuable, or at least not likely to be.) Now they have KD demanding out, Irving wanting out, and losing Simmons for an expiring Dlo when he never played a game would be an even bigger embarrassment. The Nets implosion doesn’t even allow for a rebuild because they don’t own their own picks. Tanking or trading their stars for picks doesn’t help without control of their own picks. They will keep Simmons.

Dlo might be useful in an Irving trade, but Irving to LA is nonsense. They could sooner send Irving home then give him to Lebron and watch them win a ring with Davis while Westbrook and Simmons get humiliated in Brooklyn. The real question is who wants Irving and what would they give to get him. I don’t know the answer, but I know we don’t.

Now that Towns signed the Designated Veteran Extension, it’s illegal to trade Simmons to MIN.

Happy day for me!

I hate you so much right now!

(Actually, there may be a one year moratorium on trading a player that picks up a DVE? I know there is for new deals?)

So not sure what Utah is doing but with Royce O’Neal trade they now only have 9 players under contract. Seems like a Rudy 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 deal May be in the works.

So hypothetically…Bobby marks was just on sports center describing what Miami and PHX can offer for KD. The young pieces of Booker and Bam can’t be traded because of BS already on Brooklyn. Did DLo not sign this contract? I’d imagine he’d be one of the easiest salary fillers for a KD trade

Miami has really nobody to fill unless it’s Jimmy or lowry which Brooklyn has no use for.

I may have just devised a complicated four team trade that bails out the Nets, improves the Knicks, sends Kyrie to the Lakers, and nets us a bunch of picks plus Kendrick Nunn and enough cap space for a max next year.

Lakers in: Kyrie Irving and Taurean Prince
Nets in: D’lo, Julius Randle, and Evan Fournier
Knicks in: Ben Simmons and Malik Beasley
Wolves in: Russel Westbrook, Kendrick Nunn.

You can assign picks as you please.

Hard pass - Russ is locker room cancer - We have great chemistry here and don't need that messed up (in my opinion anyway)

Towns

Just stop. Please. Get help.

Again, the Wolves are wanting to move either Russell or Beasley. Neither Beverley or McDaniels will be traded.

Sometimes is think he is just a bot that throws random trade from saved pool of worst ideas of trade machine

So send him home or buy him out. The idea is we get picks and Nunn and clear the Dlo trouble from the locker room.

My thoughts too...

DLo has fans differ on opinion, but from all reports the players all get along
